These guys got two songs out of their very big dumpling fight. They are so equally sensitive and them not talking for a week and then meeting at 4am to work it out is so them. BTS says the worst fights are Tae and Jimin, they are too much alike but always come back together. Vmin is our Soulmate pair although Suga and Jin have also called each soulmates (the eternal roommates) and RM when asked who he’d want to have a last conversation with he picked Suga because they have do much still to talk about. Really any two members of BTS are just so close. Conclusion is 7 soulmates.

V made 4 O,Clock for Jimin. To anyone who doesn’t know the dumpling accident, they had gotten into an argument (known as the dumpling incident). There were dumplings, V wanted to eat it before practice, Jimin said after. V was doing heavy scheduling due to practice and filing the kdrama he was in so he got little time to eat. They got into an argument and didn’t talk. Around 4 o’clock at night V and Jimin met in a park and worked things out. After, V started on this song. So Friends and 4 O’Clock are our vmin tribute songs. As they said in Friends, they are soulmates. Not all soulmates have to be couple based. Edit: Also I have to give credit to where it’s due. Namjoon did amazing in 4 O’Clock. He and V produced it together and it came out beautifully. Also this came out before Mono did, a year earlier actually

3:56 - The melody for this part was written by Taehyung. In a Bangtan Bomb, Joon said that he did verse A, Tae did verse B, and Joon adapted what Tae already wrote for the chorus. 6:09 - Tae actually insisted on Joon singing a whole section of the chorus, knowing ARMY wants to hear him sing.

I love the friendship between Jimin & V. If only everyone was as lucky as them to have such a tight bond with a friend.

Friends and 4'o'clock are the fun and emotional versions of v and jimin's bond. V also made a Christmas song that he wanted to sing with Jimin, but the producers didn't let him sing it with jimin because the song was romantic in nature and they thought it wasn't appropriate for two guys to sing it, hence v deleted the whole song. That would have been a great track had it been released. Sounded so good in the vlive when v played it for army. Hopefully they will release more in the future. 💜

4 O'clock was written by V while waiting in the park for Jimin at 4 O'clock in the morning, the rap part was written by RM. V & Jimin (known as soulmates) had a fight over a dumpling 😅 and did not talk for a while. Jimin walked into the park so drunk (he had a drinking session with SUGA), he was crawling in the ground while whining to V and V thought the scene was so funny so he pulled out his phone to film him🤣and they eventually reconciled . The dumpling incident was also featured in the lyrics of "Friends". Friends was written by Jimin reminiscing their past and talking about being soulmates. It's such a sweet friendship song by V & Jimin.

The song 4 o'clock you are right hearing the vulnerability in V voice. In the live version you can definitely hear it and in the end you see him almost crying its that personal to him. As for friends its a fun song and even the live version pokes fun of the dumpling incident while talking about how close they are. Thanks for the reaction.

Ah, the dumpling incedent! The best part of that whole ordeal is that we got these 2 beautiful songs. 🙂💜 V asked RM for help with the 2nd verse on 4 O'Clock. V told RM what he was feeling and RM worked his magic. I love how they help each other and work together on everything. Such a sweet song and an important part of their friendship. Friends brings tears to my eyes every time. I absolutely love the melody of that entire song. So sweet! V = Alien... though, he's told us he doesn't like that so we don't refer to him that way but it's really just an endearing term and a reflection of his ecclectic personality and we all LOVE him for it! 💜 Soulmates!! 😭

3:06 no, actually this was written and released 2 years prior to "mono". also, a fun fact: the line "the whole world in blue under the moonlight" is a reference to a line from the movie "moonlight". the actual line from the movie is "black boys look blue under moonlight" which probably means that the characters (and many queer people in general) can be themselves only when others don't see them, like at night. blue represent a lot of things in this movie but mainly - finding your true self. (btw, I really recommend watching this movie, it's gorgeously done). I think, in "moonchild" namjoon uses the night time in a similar sense - as the only time where a lot of people can get to be themselves.

I love both song but friend is one of my fav duet of bts. The melody is cathcy, the lyric different it's uniqe but so meaningful. Just love this song so much 💜

BTS bare their hearts in their music and I love how they can look back at even their worst arguments (the dumpling incident is so seminal to their friendship) with fondness. And the little pinky - love it! This is Jimin's tiny pinky - there is a clip where Vmin hold their hands against each other and Jimin's pinky is only half as long as V's. However, tiny pinky or no tiny pinky our boy Jimin is feisty. I think it is a Run BTS episode where one of the other members tease Jimin about his tiny hand and he retorts "would you like a slap from my tiny hand?" Also, Vmin were both born in 1995 and used to go to school together on the same bus. So much shared history and always there for each other.

Jimin did a great job writing "Friends," and he said that he and Tae facetime every day. They're so wonderful together. Friendship goals.

4 o'clock was released in 2016, I believe, and mono was released towards the end of 2018, so the moonchild mention by joon appeared first in 4 o'clock, then moonchild (the song) came a few years later

I'd had short bouts of insomnia intermittently in the past, but by fall of 2020 I had it *all the time.* I'd be unable to sleep, drop off sporadically during the day, be up all night again, and fall asleep exhausted in the morning for an hour or two before I had to go to work. I was barely getting any rest. I was unable to concentrate and was constantly flip-flopping between being on edge and zoning out. (I wound up watching a LOT of KZfaq.) I'd just started getting to know BTS, and I came across Four O'Clock at random one evening. It was like everything in me just relaxed and exhaled at V's first lines. My brain finally shut off, and I got my first decent night's sleep in three months. I woke up in sunlight with my phone still clenched in my hand and nearly cried, I was SO relieved. And it worked the next night, and the next, until my brain finally got the idea and got back to a normal sleep pattern. I truly feel that Tae and Namjun saved me from a serious mental breakdown. ARMY for LIFE.

Marvel's Eternals director Chloe Zhao has revealed she added the track Friends by BTS to the film. In an interview, she said that the song is one of her favorites and also complimented BTS member Jimin.

I didn't see it mentioned yet, but "Friends" was played in the Marvel movie, "Eternals." The director Chloe Zhao is an ARMY and "Friends" is one of her favorite BTS songs.

I have been considering the same issue recently. Decided his best singing for me was here in the verse of 4 O'CLOCK. i love how personal BTS is in everything they do. they never pretend to be something they are not. and always honest as much as they can. and i sound like a broken record, but i really dont see any of that with other groups. the labels has a kpop recipe, they all follow. and if you check the girl from crayon pop interview kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gcp_dJhzqN2mmWQ.html about what is going on behind the scenes. its totally insane. they mess with their heads and the members become competitive and many litterally hate each other. and the labels are telling one girl/boy to play sexy or rude towards the others on camera to create a false image the fans can hate on. they tried to do that at the beginning with BTS especially Jimin and Jin. but sense BTS was so open and silly on camera the image of the sexy cool guy Jimin was suppose to be, really didn´t match his personality. but he took that role he got and mixed it with his normal self and became sexy cute jimin. and it can be nice to put on a role for a show, when fans already know the real person behind the mask. but for other idols it becomes their identity. it´s so sad to think about. so when that girl got out from the label an group she created a youtube channel where she explained how she was not like she was being portrait. no body wanted to be friends with her because they thought she was a horrable person. but the saddest part is that the idols finds out about this after they sign the contract and can´t get out of it. so that girl would spend 7 years looking at internet trolls hating on her for something she wasn´t. so no wonder they get derepressed and some even choose not to live anymore😪. BTS was at one idols (friend) funeral back in 2016 i think it was. and after bts renewed their contract they made a lot of changes in the contract. their parents was also involved. but we don´t know what changes was made. but bighit loves bts and treats them fair. but they still have to keep up. creating two albums a year and that is a lot of work but if they don´t do it fans will loose interest because of the competition among groups.

Yes FRIENDS song are super awesome song. Too bad majority (NOT ALL) Jimin stans did not support that just because its with V. Ha Sungwon is so lucky because WITH YOU song (another collab) are streamed more than FRIENDS. Both are good songs but toxic solo stan is killing the VMin friendship.
