First time I heard this song, I knew the phrase "You will find BTS when you need them the most" is accurate. It's a saying within the fandom that I still think about. It's not the first Bts song I heard. But it's definitely the song that made me understand why so many love them.

I suffer bipolar depression and anxiety and hated myself for most of my life. I always felt broken and not worthy. Without kidding, when BTS came into my life 3 years ago it was like night and day. It was like everything fell into place and I realized I deserved to love myself and be loved. I’m actually moving to Korea to teach English next year and they set me off on that path which feels like destiny. This song means the world to me in so many ways. (I had friends that were crappy to me or that I lost too once I got into BTS and they became such apart of my every day) I realized they were never my friends to begin with and now I focus my attention on those who love me for me and support what makes me happy. 보라해 💜

This is my favorite BTS song out of their 300+ songs. I agree with you, I think this a signature BTS song, and not too many reactions about it. I love the catchy groove, the lyrics, Jin and JK's high notes, the playful harmonies with Jimin, the rap line sing song. I love watching the video live versions because one can appreciate their charming playfulness amongst themselves. I was lucky to attend one their concerts in California and it was an incredible performance, and most uplifting, largely because of the lovely interaction of artists and Army fans. In the second chorus of the song, it was actually V(Taehyung) doing the higher note harmony while Jungkook was doing the lower note harmony. V's vocal range is amazingly great. Great reactions though ❣️.

For their shows in LA they did a different ARMY song each night. The night I went they did Love Myself and I cried like a baby. I have a tattoo with the Love Yourself hearts and I honestly felt like they sang that song just for me. It was my first time seeing them and I flew from DC to LA by myself. It was a life changing experience.

I was at the opening night of the Permission to Dance concert in LA. It was the first live concert they had done since COVID and they sang this song (they changed the song at that spot in the set list every night for the Four nights of the concert). But that first night that song felt really meaningful. I’m pretty sure all of the members cried at some point during that concert and most of the audience as well.

The lyrics for the whole song hit me hard always, but what really stays in my head is the line "I'm LEARNING how to love myself". It helps me remember that I can be imperfect (even in loving myself) and still love myself and accept myself as I am in this moment. I don't have to berate myself that I don't have it all figured out by now (I'm 52 & ARMY of several years) because I'm still LEARNING. I remember that I'm learning every day and will continue until I die.

They've helped me. There's no question. You've helped me, too, honestly. You shouldn't ignore the things you've done for us. It occurs to me that with crowds that size, all of them joining in with hearts and souls and voices to all that positivity... think of all the positive energy that gets created at every concert. This is one of my favorite songs! I tried to listen to it everyday - its so beautiful both in its message and in its music. The guys all sound so wonderful! I love how they get on the carts and ride around so that all of Army has the chance to see them and they can see Army. It's such a beautiful idea!

BTS helped me cope with depression. I was at that moment when I thought of committing the unthinkable was my easy way out of misery but one day I let youtube run on autoplay and I don't know how YT algorithm works but it went to play a BTS song. I wasn't into Kpop at all but I've heard of them, I just don't pay attention---this was 2019. I found myself crying while reading the lyrics of Singularity but Epiphany hit me so hard that I can't stop crying for hours. I realized how I love myself less. I cried saying sorry to myself for not loving myself enough. Then I came to know about their Love Yourself series album and explored more. Love yourself: Answer has become my anthem since. I'm forever thankful to BTS for saving me. It's been a wonderful journey and the best decision I've ever made was to follow them. I will forever be here, I guess ARMY too, as Yoongi said to ARMY: "Let's grow old together". 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

This is such a beautiful song. I have always loved it. Some of the live versions are hard to watch since this was the final song of the shows for that tour and sometimes some of them got emotional too. Why do people get so awful just because you might go some where they haven't? Like broadening your horizon and not be stuck in just one genre or thing. You realize that especially Suga and RM got a lot of flack and hatred from the underground rap movement that they came from for being in a K-Pop/Idol group, wearing make up, etc. They were told they had sold out and more. They were hurt and lost friends. Why couldn't they be a part of both worlds? Of course where are those people now. And Suga and RM have rapped in most of their songs and are known as some of the best rappers around. They also try to spread love and light and not hate. And have touched and helped many lives. J-hope going from silly to seriousness - It's really their professionalism. And being aware of the occasion and audience. Obviously they had prepared and probably rehearsed their parts before this shoot. So even though they needed to be serious they also could have fun with it. The members also say that J-hope is one of the most professional of them all. The campaign shoot was probably done in the first part of 2021 when Suga was recovering from shoulder surgery. He was gone from all of their award performance videos and everything else for about 3 months at the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021. The campaign was basically to become comfortable with who you are and in your own skin and speak yourself. Don't let others define who you are just be yourself. Have you ever watched RM's speech at the UN in 2018 on this? Suga hasn't always expressed his emotions much. That is why it is special when he does. Like at the Busan concert he told Army "I love you. I really love you" you knew he meant it. Thanks for this and sharing your heart too.💜💜

For me this track was what I listened to mostly when my folks were sick... I used to think about how hard BTS worked to get through what they did in the early days...and still in some instances even today... I drew strength from how strong they all were and how they leaned on each other as family, which is something I am also lucky enough to have.We all have our moments when we feel we aren't doing well... in many aspects of our lives...but like BTS, Army get together and help each other stay afloat until it gets a little better... I always remember what RM said when the pandemic was keeping everyone isolated... 'The ARMY I know and the BTS you all know, we're all strong. We'll find a way, we always have.'
