Yes....15. ....That's me EVERY time I hear her sing...well that or leaking tears like a sieve....Considering her upbringing, you simply have to admire this young woman who still just wants to bring happiness and joy to anyone around her. Such true resilience and human connection. She is what many of us should strive to be like. The truest female contralto to exist in the world today. Many folks compare some of her "sound" to Cher or Shakira, which is fair based just on the particular depressed tongue root sound displayed, but unfair because she is a natural. She is like a tempest given voice. Polyphonic overtones is similar to throat singing. You basically manipulate the larynx to produce additional resonance in addition to your natural produced sound, kind of like adding a second "voice" almost. It makes it sound full because of the additional layering. Diana is one of the most empathic, emotive young ladies ever to perform. Her connection, and ability to transport you to where she is, is magnificent. Many folk describe her as a shamanistic goddess. Absolutely on the mark. She is absolutely my 2nd favorite singer in the world, right behind...maybe next to Floor Jansen. Her vocal range and smooth warmness at the bottom is just mind blowing for someone so young. Her "yodels" are a signature of hers. That ability to flip seamlessly from upper chest to her head voice is second to none on the planet. Best of all, her actual vocal tone while speaking is also very low so you know she isn't "forcing" that sound, but is a true master contralto....so RARE!! Lol shes the real deal and yes 15 Rechenca 13/14 and Blizzard will make you think Kate Bush and Shirley Bassey but that voice is almost unique. Her adoptive mum and big sister formed the backbone of her support and encouraged a damaged three year old to follow her interest in music and performing.. This show has excellent production values in support of its young performers who share a disadvantaged background in common. Its about the whole presentation and performers tallent.
