Dimash has just celebrated his 30th birthday and has been an avid studier of music for 25 years!!! He is from Kazakhstan and has a 7 octave vocal range - absolutely incredible ❤. He is STILL single and, when not touring, etc, he lives at home with his parents (who are both renowned singers in Kazakhstan) and his siblings. We first became aware of him when he took part in a Chinese talent show in 2017 - unfortunately, he couldn't win because only a Chinese contestant was allowed to .... this changed the following year, any nationality can now win. My favourite song from that show is S.O.S., which he performs slightly differently to the version you listened to. Another fabulous song is, Olympico - you must listen to it. That said, Dimash hasn't given anything but wonderful mysic, amazing singing and outstanding performances. Oh yes, his fans are known as "Dears". This is how Dimash has always referred to his fans. How truly beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤

Dimash is singing SOS by Luc Plamondons a Canadian lyricist which he wrote in collaboration with the French composer Michel Berger. The rock opera is called Starmania, and includes SOS about an “earthling" in distress. Regarding the wings. The national animal of Kazakhstan is the golden eagle, a symbol of independence, freedom and flight to the future . He often uses this motif.

This song is a pearl of the French songbook: It is a French-Canadian cyberpunk-rock opera called “Starmania”, written in 1976 by Michel Berger (France) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine, Diane Dufresne and Gregory Lemarchal. The theme of the song is depression: In the 2021 version, Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholy interpretation!
