This is an amazing cover of a brilliant song, 1st done by Simon & Garfunkel warning us, if we don't change our ways we are headed for destruction, and Disturbs version is angry, because we didn’t listen to the warnings... 😌 I always feel this song is like an emotional rollercoaster ride, slowly bringing us to the top, then quickly crashing to the bottom.....Great reaction as always, and adore your positive attitude!!!

This song, a COVER of a Simon and Garfunkel song from 1965 for the Civil Rights and Vietnam War, is a "honeypot" to find everyone who doesn't get emotional after David Draiman's brilliant singing and the arrangement, and points out the people who do get their EMOTIONS out, are real. You should watch Disturbed do this song. On Conan O'Brien (sp?) show. David Draimon was sick that day but he went on to sing anyway. His performance is AMAZING!!!!!

BRO, This band, Disturbed, is usually known for the heavier rock type of music. Which I happen to really like, by the way. This singer, David Draiman, is a trained vocalist capable of many variations of especially rock music. I hope you will listen to another side of his style with "Down With The Sickness". I have this CD from which this song is taken. Music makes me emotional too, bro. That just means you have a good heart. I wish you the best, and hope all your dreams come true!

I have never been into heavy metal music, so I had never even heard of disturbed until last year. Saw them perform this live on the Conan O'brien show and loved it! David Draiman has such a beautiful, powerful voice that can wring any emotion out of me. I love Disturbed's The Light. Powerful with a powerful meaning. Maybe you could check that out sometime. Another powerful tear jerker of theirs is Hold on to Memories. But you may need something lighted and fun after that. Home Free's working for a Living would be good. They are true musicians with talent at the highest level. Dive into Hold on to memories then pump up on down with the sickness and everything in-between. I remember this song, as a kid, I didn't like it. Until this cover. This cover, gives Paul Simon's lyrics the intensity that covey the true meaning of the song. If you have ever lived or worked in Manhattan (NYC), it is a NOISY place. After a while you drown it out to the point that you don't care for others. That is why many say that New Yorkers are "rude", we really aren't we are rushed and overwhelmed. Thanks for your reaction.

I was 10 when Simon & Garfunkel wrote and released this song. My granddaughter linked me to the Disturbeds' cover and blew my mind. Geoff Castellucci just dropped a LOW Bass cover of it and already has over half a million views in 13 days.

My favorite rendition to the song ever... makes me think of religion as well people trying to share the truth about what is going on in the world. I also love Pentatonix's rendition... makes me feel entirely different and as for the original by S & G, I feel a sense that I get when I am stoned lol. They are all perfect in their own way.

I think that song was written about poverty. So much meaning behind it. My heart breaks for the homeless. There will be a home in heaven for all of us. One of the best singers ive ever heard.

51 year old Marine here, wide awake and I believe called by God to "sell" tickets on the new ark. This song is about the blind and deaf sheep who refuse to listen and to walk blindly into hell. So I think it is ok to weep over this song over all who will be lost when Christ returns. Please listen, and heed his words. Repent, because Christ is coming, and God will judge.
