For this particular show, he toned down his moves because he knew he was being watched across the world and did not want to possibly offend more conservative cultures. This satellite show was the first ever and is still the largest world wide audience of a single performer ever, with “ live aid “ and Royal weddings to measure against!! Elvis has never, for his fans, faded in popularity but nowadays, with social media and Spotify etc, the world is being reminded about this legend and he is gaining yet another generation of lifelong fans. he had to be so reserved during this show but there are definitely standout performances what now my love (rehearsal show) my way you gave me a mountain but the up tempo numbers like this one didn't really come across like they should have down to elvis' having an extremely tight window of time to fit everything in and the incredible pressure he was under during this simulcast his 1972 live version of this is how its supposed to be done on stage or the studio version is also good :)

Dude I've been so busy with work and you haven't popped up in my feed in a while but I really do always enjoy your reactions. You're kind of square compared to the way that I grew up but also I really appreciate you. And your reaction to this is just fascinating and delightful. I could really steer you to some of his early stuff that you never see reacted to although they were all hits, the guy had so many hits. We are so lucky to have so much live video footage of informing but really he had close to a 1000 recorded songs. And I love his early rockabilly stuff. And so did America that's really what put him on the map. And some of these audio tracks that we mostly knew from that correlate to performances in his early movies but I would highly encourage you if you feel like it, to check out some of these audio tracks that were also legitimate hits early on at the time. The guitar was a prop. Elvis was the original voguer. He could have gotten about 20 album covers here, moving from one pose to the next. 50's Elvis was what I liked. To me, this pales in comparison.
