EXO is pronounced XO. EXO has 3 main vocalists: the one in black shirt & jacket (D.O.), black jacket (Baekhyun) and the one in white (middle)(Chen). The rest are lead vocalists and vocalists (Suho, Xiumin), Kai (in the military at present) plus 2 main rappers (Chanyeol & Sehun). All are trained vocalists inlcuding the rappers. All have solo albums except for the main rappers at present. However, they have 2 sub-units, EXO-SC (Rap line) and EXO-CBX (vocal line). Both sub-units have their own albums. Starting from the striped-t, Chanyeol, D.O., Suho (Leader), Chen, Xiumin, Baekhyun and Sehun. The absent one is Kai (in the military) and Lay, the only Chinese Member. Lay is huge in China and busy with his massive solo career. They got too many very good vocalists so yeah, some may not have much lines. Main vocals in Exo are the Vocal Trinity of Baekhyun, Chen, and DO. Let me tell you though, they all can sing, even the rappers. My number 1 male kpop group (female #1 group is Mamamoo.) Please more Exo. Alot of other great songs were not on here. Tempo, What is Love. Sweet Lies, Obsession, and a lot more. 11 year old group who hasn't been able to promote as a whole group since around 2019 and yet they are still one of the best and still extremely loved in the industry. Kai is not here because of Military duty and Lay, Chinese member hasn't been able to promote with them due to tensions between the 2 countries. You guys wont be disappointed. Exo has a huge discography with different geners and styles that cater to different tastes and as you saw, the vocal power is great individually but when they come together it goes up another level.

The last guy you talked about is Sehun, he is the rapper and dancer of the group and though he doesn't sing the main parts of the songs, you can hear him doing the background vocals(the bass vocals is usually done by him and Chanyeol,the other rapper) which makes the song more beautiful. So he may not seem to do much on the front but from behind he contributes a lot to the group.

Wouldn't be an understatement to say EXO are one of the top vocal groups in kpop! Seriously impressive and amazing vocals! This isn't even all of them and I would say this is one of their more laid back videos! I highly recommend BTOB killing voice too! Also one of the top vocal groups!

Last mic guy - Sehun - is a rapper, but he also provides the base harmonies. If you take him out, it's not the same. He has never been confident as a vocalist, you can see what he is up against, but that cool base is its own power. The other rapper is the main rapper, but he first auditioned as a vocalist and is quite confident, and very good. You spotted the three main vocalists, our calm, quiet Kungsoo (D.O.), the angelic white dressed Chen and the Genius (an industry given nickname) in the oversized jacket, Baekhyun. The one in the cream shirt is the Lead vocalist Suho and the one in denim is vocalist Xiumin. They are missing vocalist and rapper Kai (in the military) and vocalist Lay (the only remaining Chinese member who is rarely with them). I have focused on the vocals as that is what this show is about. EXO are phenomenal! You really have to check out their live concert videos because their vocals are just so so insanely good. Killing Voice didn't even do them justice. I would check out MAMA, Monster, Live versions of El Dorado and Miracles in December. They all have solo stuff as well. I'm always excited to see new people check out EXO!

Main vocalist, D.O., is shy and dislikes being the center of attention which is ironic because he's one of the best idol actors and has won several prestigious acting awards. D.O. also has the most agile voice in kpop. Nobody can bear his runs, riffs and ad-libs. He's also known for his deadpan expression when singing. 😂 EXO has two rappers who are located at either end. The rapper on the right also sings, models, choreographs and acts. The song "First Snow" came out 10 years ago and it still charts every year in Korea with the first snowfall. Miracles in December do as well.

Sehun the guy at the right is the visual, rapper and dancer. In kpop groups they all tend to shine in their own way. In this case they are showing vocals and only a snippet of the songs so their parts are cut to make the vocals shine. He is the youngest of the group and everybody loves him btw :) Is not the same with american groups, for example the leader of the group the third from the left Suho and the oldest the third from the right have always said they are comfortable and like to see their members shine more than them while they act as support and be serious. Some of them have their solo careers as well like the second from the left who is a very well recognized actor but he always says his main job is a singer and that comes first, the second from the right had set a record for most album sales for his solo album. Again almost all of them went to military and came back and still continue to perform as one group for already 11 years. They all important and they all support each other's strengths and weaknesses :)

Three songs or mvs you need to start with, Exo's 2 pre-debut songs from December 2011 "WHAT IS LOVE" (sung by Baekhyun and D.O.) and "HISTORY" (everyone) Then their debut mv "MAMA", which has their concept that they are aliens from Exoplanet, each with a superpower, and they came to Earth to protect and preserve life (their superpowers are what keep the Universe in balance), and The Red Force is the evil of the Universe, which is chasing Exo around the galaxy to covet those powers to do more evil. Exo come to Earth and disguise themselves as humans, and want to help Earth and preserve life, while the Red Force is already creating turmoil and destruction, which is the state Earth is in today. Exo forces /powers were living inside "The Tree of Life" until the Red Force came and killed the tree, exposing the 12 forces. The forces were forced to flee and hide on different planets, and met up again later on Earth. Exo also have the power to turn into wolves when angered. There were 12 members in the beginning. There are 9 members now. "MAMA" is a sort of angry cry to Mama, the powers that sent them to Earth. They sing of why are we here? Humans don't talk to each other, look at each other, there is no love, only death, killing and hatred...humans cannot be saved. They ask MAMA what are they to do? Yes, a crazy concept, Exo's (pronounced x- o) early days had their mvs riddled with lore, the concept is seriously downplayed nowadays, though supposedly the Red Force is always lurking, and there is a storyline behind all mvs. I don't go into it like some do, I just want to hear the vocals. EXO is the powerhouse of vocals in Kpop! They are admired and respected by other idols and vocal coaches since 2012. The last guy (Sehun) is one of the main dancers and rappers of the group, he often participates in vocals too although is not his particular position (goes to show how talented they are), and since these are just fragments of the songs, sadly it hasn't showcase his talent as much as the others. That being said, you just have seen the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the rest too!

The guy at the end-right who is SEHUN (youngest) is the Main Rapper and Main Dancer of the group. He does not have much lines at the beginning but he can sing too and you'll hear him more through EXO-SC (subunit consisting of the Main rappers; both guys on opposite ends). Since he does have low voice, he harmonizes with the vocalists. Since this is Killing Voice, the Main and Lead Vocals will be more highlighted. Welcome to the vocal kings! EXO’s vocals never disappoint. I started out with BTS 4 years ago and also fell in love with EXO because they give me eargasms! You’ll really enjoy going through their discography and their songs are iconic with probably the most covered by other idols/groups. The second to the right end, silver hair, Baekhyun has an incredible solo career as well, I think you’d love it, start with Unvillage and his whole Bambi album is probably one of my favorite albums ever. Oh and EXO’s choreo is legendary.
