The hype she's getting is not enough tbh. She is born in Morocco, went to Canada with her parents when she was 1 y.o. She is 21, computer engineering student. She speaks Arabic, English & French. She plays piano, violin, guitar, percussion and cello. She never had any vocal lessons. She taught herself how to sing. Her latest song called "puppet" is just released today. React to her other stripped versions.

Yeah I discovered her YEARS ago. She blew me away to the point where I couldnt stop listening to her for months. I hope to see more reactions to her music!

Faouzia is Canadian of Moroccan descent (perhaps all her great runs come from there, and she says she never had formal voice coach, grew up in Winnipeg(? ) and graduated from college. She is in early 20's and is a song writer of all her songs, including tears of gold (and in a duet with John Legend). I am glad you choose this song sung by herself in empty theatre because the record industry has put a lot of junk in her recent performances. Anyway a great talent!

@@thecrazyfawn5558 and sounds like she’s not in school this semester. Which makes me think she won’t be finishing her degree in the next year. But I suspect she’s made the correct choice at this time.

@@itzel1735 When I hear more Faouzia sing, I am so glad she did not have formal voice training in the West. What if Faouzia had gone to Juliard and become an acclaimed bel canto diva, so what? The world would have lost a once in a generation (21 year old) song writer and singer!

I recommend you "You Don't Even Know Me (Stripped)". For real, you will love every second of it. Just her, the piano and stunning visuals. She's incredible, one of the very few artists I can listen to a hundred times and still get goosebumps.

You are actually the first person who mentioned adele. I agree with you. Hearing fouzia now is like hearing adele for the first time. Fouzia is just a more full package and more chick/fashionable version than the younger adele. I love them both so much!!!!

Never heard of her before and her music is not really my thing (this striped down version is better imo than the full song I just tried to listen to. I immediately didn't like it) but she's a great singer and far more entertaining than that Morissette woman people have been reacting to a lot lately. Morissette literally makes me yawn mid song every time. Her music and voice are so boring to me. Anyways, I'll give Faouzia another listen. Maybe she has other stuff I may find interesting. She certainly has something unique going on.
