There were two legends sitting in the room watching near the end of the video. Bo Diddley (chocolate brother/blues legend) and Willie Mosconi, a real legend in pool! Another George Thorogood song that's great is "No Particular Place To Go".

I just saw him in concert about a month ago. 73 years old and still has voice like he's 30 or 40. When you are singing and sustaining high notes, your voice holds up much, much longer.

"Move it on over" is hank williams. "Who do you love?" is Bo diddley. "You talk too much" is Joe Jones. Thorogood is one of the guys i used to discover older artists. If thorogood wanted to copy them, they must be really great. Like the original "House of Blue lights" is so much better than his copy.

Everything about the start of this song is the stuff you learn on the first day of High School jazz band. the great part about all blues songs is what different people layer into and on top of it. George Thorogood was so good at using that base to make a great song

Memories, man, great memories. About 30 years ago I was a test driver at the GM Proving Grounds in Mesa, AZ. One night they called me in for a graveyard shift and I was assigned to the prototype Corvette. And the first thing up on the test schedule was a high speed test on the 5 mile circle track. BTW, it was expected to test the car stereos as well, they even provided us with a nice selection of CD's. Anyway, I was out there doing 100 mph in the desert night, listening to a George Thorogood midnight album concert. With Bad To The Bone blasting at full volume on the Bose stereo all I could do was think, "I'm actually getting paid to do this!"

The riff that you know is from the Godfather of the Blues, Muddy Waters with "Mannish Boy". The guy George plays pool with (with the square guitar) is Bo Diddley, another blues great. Bo also was on the original recording for "Mannish Boy". Homage to George for the Blues homage.

The "beat" is a famous Blues beat called "The Bo Diddley Beat", invented, or at least popularized by the man, who makes an appearance in the video. Along with World Pool Champion Willie Moscone, who lays the money down. George Thorogood is exactly as advertised, "Bad To The Bone". The song opens up the movie "Christine" as well.

The familiar feeling is the classic blues swing that was established by a couple of rhythm kings, like Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, and Bo Diddley of course is the most iconic for this particular riff. All compelling African American blues artists that set the scene for rock artists like Thorogood to amp up the song. Really good take Shon

Great stuff. Here's a very unique one for you. John Valby at the piano, mostly words. It's a bit dirty, but you'll laugh and never forget it. John Valby saying the Candy Bar Poem. He used to hit the college circuits and do drinking games as hundreds of kids crowded round. He guzzle a pitcher of beer faster than most could a single 12 oz cup. And the girls loved it too.
