I was born in 1972 and me and my two friends were outcast at school because our love for metal. And what a time it was growing up with band like Iron Maiden, Helloween, Judas Priest, King Diamond, Metallica, Anthrax, Manowar, Accept, W.A.S.P., Savatage, Overkill, Saxon, Testament etc.. Looking back at the time it was simply amazing.

Kiske is legend... The guy with the red guitar is Kai Hansen, singer on the first Helloween-Album and also guitarmen of Helloween in the early days. Then he became founder, singer and guitarman of the band "Gamma Ray". I would recommend "Land of the free" from them. But also many other songs. Even if Andreas Deris (the actual singer of Helloween) is not bad, Kiske is unreachable. And always remember: Everyone who spells the song "Halloween" from the band "Helloween" with an e and the Bands name with an a, will immeadetely be turned into a big, ugly, half-price-selling pumpkin. 😉

wow, this takes me back 30+ years lol. I can still remember when this was released in the US. One of my all time favorite songs still today is on this album. Eagle Fly Free. you get to see why they have that drum kit there lol.

Not only you. In the early 90s, I visited my cousin who had all those limited edition picture vinyl discs hanging on the wall and put together some casettes with White Snake, Helloween, Megadeth, Metallica, Guns N Roses. Never got the chance to say thanks for that.

You are so damned right. And i had the luck to meet Kai Hansen at a gig of Freedom Call in Hamburg, Germany. I live near this city and i am a huge fan of Helloween too. So great to see them all together again. Unfortunately Ingo Schwichtenberg is missing, but he shall be remembered all day.

I used to listen to this many years ago when I was a lot younger. I'm amazed how good they still sound, just like the studio. Michael can still live in those high notes, so much respect for him as a singer and them as a band.

One of my biggest frustration it was not seen this masterpiece live. I only went to one single show from Helloween in 1996 at Monsters of Rock in Sao Paulo Brazil!!! At least they have played and I saw Eagle Fly Free live. Big moment. Pumpkins United 🎃🤘🏻🎃

You really have to check videos from the 80s with Kiske (I want out, A tale that wasn't right,...) To see how amazing his voice was and how it held up. What you see in stage is decades of power metal history, changes, emotions come together. Those in our 40s know what I am talking about...

I was at the Halloween Headbangers Ball show at 1st Avenue in Minneapolis in 1986 for my 16th birthday (aired on MTV on Halloween - show was about a week or so earlier) - Helloween, Armored Saint and Grim Reaper - Hell of a show! They kicked ass over the whole show and weren't even the headliners (Grim Reaper was). Forgot how great they are!

One of my all time favourite songs. I randomly downloaded this on napster when I was like 13 not knowing about the band or power metal in general. Lets just say it made a mark on me. Helloween were pioneers of the genre. Eagle fly free is absolutely incredible too. But if u want an extrememly awesome live performance you should react to blind guardian - the bard song/valhalla live wacken 2016. U will be blown tf away haha. Love the channel. Peace

Guys most of us have to wait 25 years to see helloween originals line up, this supergroup now has the original lead singer and the one who replaces him, original lead guitar and his replacement, touring all the world playing songs from early 80s, this guys are the pathers of power metal!!!!! You should check out Future World with this line up!

Huge fan of Helloween since their first album, the walls of Jericho until todate. Going through the changing of the band line up through the years and they are still standing strong. Last year went to their reunited concert and I had a blast seeing n hearing all the 3 vocalist singing n performing on the same stage. Tq for reacting. Regards from Malaysia! ps. Love her voice 👍😜

I saw a few concerts in the 80'thies and 90'thies and saw Helloween also. In those days we used to call it speed metal and 4 Bass Drums kits was Standart for Helloween even in those days!! He would play a double pedal with each foot hitting two bass drums with one foot and another two with the other.

Oh my god! What a performance still after so many time. Saw the " Keeper"- Tour 3times in 1987 and Michael Kiske sounds live quite igual , 34 years after!!?How is it posible? I was there, December 2017, Madrid Wizick Center. FUCKING INSANE NIGHT, over 3 hours of concert. I lost my mind, you MUST see Halloween by Helloween live ( is from the same show ) that preformance was FUCKING INSANE, we all lost our shit there, and was of the first songs they startes with.

Goosebumps. It sounds so good, on the lp, live from the 80s, or live from nowadays. These guys are a force in metal and deserve more credit and respect for their talent and longevity, never mind what they brought to the genre.

There isn't anyone quite like Michael Kiske. Unless I misremember he was 19 when he recorded this for Keeper of the Seven Keys part II. It's 32 years since the album's release in 1988 and he still sounds amazing. Easily one of the best vocalists in Metal in my opinion. This tour featured all the vocalists they have had over the years. Kiske that sings solo for the first half of the song, Kai Hansen (with the red guitar though he doesn't sing in this song) and Andy Deris that joins in halfway through. Edit: Forgot to add that I had the immense pleasure of seeing them TWICE on the tour when this was recorded :D

Good god. I remember when Keeper came out in 86. It blew us all away. Helloween pretty much started the power metal genre as we know it nowadays. And they have tons of great songs. Its also worth checking out one of their 'sister' bands Gamma Ray. Just as awesome.

ok. My mind is officially been blown the past couple of weeks. Holy sh*t! First, about 2 wks ago, I 'discovered' Avatar. I've never cared for the fry scream/scream, aside from bits of it here & there, but my ears made an immediately exception upon hearing Johannes' voice. I've been listening to everything by them, and watching interviews, and cannot get enough. Then, I heard your song "Why So Serious" & Sonny gave a taste of a new one that's in the works... Next, just earlier today, I watched your reaction to Van Canto... crazy good & must check out more. Now, Helloween. I don't know why, growing up a kid of the 80's, I never heard of them, esp. since my brother (who was 6 yrs older) loved bands like Kiss & Ozzy. The very 1st thought was - Geoff Tate has a vocal twin?!?! Sure enough, 1 quick search & there are plenty of comparisons between the 2. Tate & Queensryche were one of my absolute favs back-in-the-day (and Mindcrime is still my fav. album), sooo now I have to listen to everything by Helloween, too. lol
