Hello . congratulations you've just found the best band in the world! The Singer is Robert Plant the founding member guitarist and producer is Jimmy Page ,the drummer is John Bonham and the bass player who also plays key board organ and mandolin is John Paul Jones . They are a British band JP and JPJ from the London area and the other two from the midlands. The band was founded in 1968. Robert Plant sang the vocals all the way through this track, he has tremendous range and versatility as a vocalist and also plays mean harmonica . They do rock/ blues/ folk and so you will be constantly taken by suprise by them. There is nothing Jimmy Page cannot do on a guitar. The led Zeppelin name is roughly what you guessed , you will see Zeppelin air ships on the album cover art. It is a refernce to a British saying about a led balloon which is an idea which is received badly and is never going to fly. Presumably with a sense of irony. Their first album Led Zeppelin 1 is widely regarded as one of the best first albums ever ,a good way to get to know them is to go through one track at a time in order, trust me you won't be disappointed. Also they were a brilliant band live and you shuld also look at recordings of live performances .You are going to be very busy for a while....

There's a ton of Zeppelin fans that follow all of the reactors that regularly put Zeppelin in their lineup. I think you'll like their variety of Blues/Rock, Folk/Rock, and they touch on lots of genre. Good job!

Yes same singer throughout - Robert Plant. One of the most iconic frontman rock stars of all time! If you want another true banger that I firmly believe you'll dig: "When the Levee Breaks". It's a bluesy swamp rock sound with an amazing drum sound.

The louder vocal toward the end is actually double-tracked, to give it more breadth, which is literally recording it twice and laying it into the song in parallel.

Greetings dad. Loved your reaction to Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven it's one of their iconic songs. I was 18 years old in 1969 when Led Zeppelin's first album came out. It blew me away. And every other person on this Earth that heard it. The singer for Led Zeppelin is Robert Plant. Guitarist Jimmy Page. Bass keyboards and pretty much all the other stuff you here is John Paul Jones. And drums John Bonham. If you plan to go down the Led Zeppelin rabbit hole you should do their first album and other albums consecutively. Definitely do Studio versions before live versions I've never heard a live song that sounded the same as the studio. In joy the ride. Peace ✌️

I can among others warmly recommend all those live videos from Madison Square Garden 1973.

The Immigrant Song is one of my favourites. You may have heard it in a Marvel movie. I think wind instrument is a recorder. Other bands I think you might like are Black Sabbath (War Pigs, & Paranoia) and The Moody Blues (Tuesday Afternoon, & Timothy Leary). I guess listen to Classic Rock radio Stations !! 🤔 All the greatest Rock hits from the 1960s to 70s are played each day, every big city has 1 or 2 Classic Rock stations or Sirius radio where you can narrow it down to Classic Prog also 👍🎶

The basis of the name was they heard someone (reports vary on who) heard these guys were forming a band and said, "That'll go over like a lead balloon." So they called themselves Led Zeppelin.

Kashmir from Celebration Day in 2007 is Perfection. Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were in their 60s, Robert Plant was 59. The original drummer's son, Jason Bonham, was drummer - and killed it! RIp John Henry.

When it was said that we are forming a new band, One of the guys said "that will go over like a lead zeppelin" Then a spelling mistake was never corrected and Led Zeppelin was born.

The Graf Zeppelin was a lighter-than-air airship the Germans came up with and used for reconnaissance and even as a bomber of London in WW1. Later on there was a saying about something failing catastrophically -- "Well that went over like a lead zeppelin." The band took the name and stylized it by leaving the 'a' out of 'lead'. But it seems Led Zeppelin went over a bit better than a lead zeppelin.

Great memories growing up, but sorry it was never my favorite song by Zeppelin. If you want to hear one my favorites growing up listen to Johnny Nash "I can see clearly now"
