This is the first time i heard someone say that they Don't like Melody's Voice. In my Honest opinion i Think she is one of the best Frontwomen/girl in Metal right now. You should listen to some of their other stuff before making an opinion.

This was exactly my first reaction to this cover, hearing it another times sounds great to me.

honest review.. sometimes its tough for a diehard Metallica fan to accept something a bit different.. i get it :).. i think they knocked it out of the park as a great tribute.. you need to hear some of their originals and maybe a few other covers. her voice is the best rock voice ive heard in 20 years.. and im an old school 80's rock / metal guy

Alex I am a fan all the way back to Kill em all/Ride the lightning days. To see young people keep metal alive is fantastic. You are hearing Metallica in your head. They are doing it their way. To be honest I would have been disappointed had they copied it exactly. Just my opinion. If all you have is one little issue being a Metallica fan that is a huge compliment. These kids are amazing. Thank you for your reaction to this iconic song. They are a young band but not afraid to tackle any hard song like M.O.P. They are all brothers and sisters, they have many amazing covers songs and outstanding originals out. Hopefully you will give them a listen. The youngest member is Justin he plays the keyboards he’s 13 years old the bass player is Ethan 14years old the vocalist is Melody 19 years old the drummer is Abigail 21 years old and the lead guitarist Samuel is 22 they are a family of rock band .You should check out Mars live and another song called nothing gives you a better feel with the band really about

Check their other covers and especially their original songs and again especially Mars, you will change your mind about Melody the lead singer .the band is a young family and have millions of views under their belt. The keyboard is taking the place of a second guitar and does it very well .you are obviously entitled to your own opinion and i for one respect that ,you have to remember though that this is a cover ,and as such is never going to be exactly like Metallicas original what would be the point . A good reaction nevertheless and I hope that when you have listened to their other offerings you will become a huge fang like millions of others from around the world. Rock on and rock hard

Yes, the band has become an icon in themselves so when they do a cover these days it becomes a hybrid. MOP was a fan voted challenge for them to cover. This cover has been questioned a little. All other Liliac content (covers and originals) is pretty unanimously, completely awesome 🦇🪨🤘

In an interview with their father, who's their producer and manger, he said the keyboard had to take the place of the rhythm guitar. Melody has an incredible voice, she is a huge Dio fan and seems to channel him and Joplin. Take a listen to their cover of "Piece of my heart" by Joplin or "Holy Diver or Rainbow in the dark" from Dio. 🤘

Now they've just released their new video "Symphony Of Destruction" but you may not like that one either. They've done covers that have catapulted them to the front of young bands who rock. Now they're doing originals. Not everyone likes other people's likes, but it would be nice if you checked them out a little more. Just for the helluvit. I'm an old rocker and I feel Melody, the singer, is phenomenal.

You should check out their original music. Try Mars live or anything they have done . It's all awesome .

I was also disappointed with the vocals on this track, but she is an incredible vocalist. Check out their cover of Enter Sandman (they are even younger) and it is more true to the original. Another recent cover they've done is a cover of Joan Jett's I hate myself for Loving You, she kills it.

Came out 35 years and a day anniversary, LILIAC meaning bat they make a sound they call a vamp metal. Justin is filling in because of one guitar but they stayed true to their own sound well giving their fan-gs the cover of Master of Puppets voted for them to cover, and they did it all themselves.

That echo is their way..and it is not bad..and for me that is best cover of Master of Puppets..btw am big fan of Megadeth..and this kids is best young band right now..take time and watch more video from Liliac..no regret..

I think they'r great.And we don't need another Metallica or Dio or Maiden because they are already the best bands in the world.Liliac realy deserve respect.Very god.

You should check out the cover of Dio's"The Last In Line" which the did for the Dio Cancer Fundraiser back on the 10th. Wendy asked them to play the benefit she asked them to play this one and Vinnie Appice gave her this extended version if the song to do which never came out. Wendy is a fan of theirs after seeing them do the cover of "Rainbow In The Dark".

I think you might like their Enter Sandman cover better They're even younger on that one, and the lead singer (Melody) plays bass on it while the younger brother who's on bass for MOP (Ethan) plays the second guitar. Just FYI, the keyboardist (Justin) is even younger.

I don't know ANY bands that want people to do covers of their music that want someone to do them as they did them!!!!!!! They all say if you are doing our stuff make it your own don't just copy us!!!!!!!

You may be interested in listening to another Liliac cover of a Metallica song - Enter Sandman. The vocalist Melody was 15 y.o. then. I can't guess if you like it (and this is great!), but you will be impressed for sure.

Well you are certainly entitled to your opinion. That said, it is my opinion that if Melody Christea sounded like James Hetfield that would suck. Just saying.

I agree with you on the thing you pointed out. That is her normal voice check out some other covers like last in line or there Originals Mars great solo by Sam or for something Totally different from them check out Sail Away one of the best Originals from them (awesome)

I love your honest review. I love Liliac, but this is not my favorite cover of theirs. There is something a little off. But, God, they are so talented! Crazy Train is my favorite cover they did and they were much younger when they did that video.

Wow dude, you sure triggered a lot of Fangs. I am a big fan of Liliac and like what they did with the song, but I'm not a big Metallica fan and never really cared for this song to begin with. Thank you for providing an honest reaction, I don't have any issues with your opinion. But I will also support what others have said about checking out some of their other stuff. They really are a talented bunch of kids.

They do covers but don’t want to be like the original. They have their specific signature they add to a song. Just don’t expect the original. This isn’t their best though, try some of their own work like Nothing or another cover like Holy Diver.

Dude, I'm with you. The effects are a little much. Melody just needs to sing... they are really good!! Its really hard to listen to if you are a big fan of Metallica as I am as well, but if you listen to it a few times it will go on you... try a few other covers of liliac. They also put their own spin on every song... plus bud, their fans picked this song and it is tough with their current instrument arrangements .... Melody also plays bass....
