There are a few 'Flash Mob' versions on KZfaq. Described by one of the comments as ". . a cascade of sound . . " is the version in a small street lined with café tables, This version is in West Germany - WDR Rundfunkchor. Even a small dog expressed a desire to join in early on - but, made no impact on the performance. A personal note is the Choir Master reminded me of my late father, who, himself, was in a choir.

Go and have a listen to a guy named Florent Pagny... Singing a piece of music coming from the Opera called "Tosca" by Puccini. The song is entitled "E Lucevan le Stelle"...translating to "And the stars were glittering". He's not (per se) an opera singer, but the song comes from an opera...and he does a pretty good job of this rendition. Keep your eyes closed - just let your mind wonder and follow the passion in the words... You'll be amazed!

He was known as the King of the high C’s and yes he hit higher notes than that regularly in opera. In the aria “ah mes amis” he hit 9 high c’s in quick succession which cemented him as one of the great tenors - for me he is the g.o.a.t. when it comes to male singers. Check out some of his Christmas songs on YT, keep up the great work.

Pavarotti's voice was very unique and many people that didn't care for opera singers fell in love with Pavarotti. He was known world round and could control his voice to hit the scale from the lowest to the highest without taking a breath. I believe he is the best Tenor opera singer I have heard. That is my opinion only.

What always blows me away about Pavarotti is how anyone can tell, just from the first note, how brilliant his voice is. Every single reaction video I've seen (and I'm slightly addicted to them) has had that "whoa" from the second he opens his mouth. Something about the power, beauty and control he will go on to show throughout the song is audible immediately, even if (like me) your ear is totally untrained. For him to start from such a high point, and then just keep escalating, is truly astonishing.

Opera singing is a high-performance sport and the result of years of training. The technique you have learned makes it possible to use the whole body as a resonance amplifier for the voice. Pavarotti also used the pronunciation of the words masterfully and knew the works and their composers profoundly, so he knew exactly when to use which feeling.

Pavarotti is considered by most people to be the greatest tenor in history. Nessun Dorma is an aria (solo) from the opera Turandot composed by Puccini. The Three Tenors have 4 performances of concerts following the World Cup games in the 1990's. Also check out Andre Bocelli of Spain as the current top male soloist in operatic music. Both of them have performed in concerts which include many popular songs. The Three Tenors had a lot of fun with each other at their concerts.

Devin, Pavarotti was the tenor who made me love classical music. As a young Latino growing up during the late 70s-early 80s in East Los Angeles, it wasn't a type of music that was readily available. I have the blessing of having a father, who although he dropped out of HS at 16 to work and help out his family, he was a man who loved to learn new things across a wide berth of subjects. He would take me to one of the secondhand stores in our neighborhood (we had four in the area). He would take me to the book section and music section (in the days of vinyl LPs & cassettes) and allow me to choose one of each. This is where my love of learning blossomed as well. Hearing old vinyl recordings of Caruso, Callas, Krauss and some newer Domingo, Carreras and Pavarotti, helped me expand my horizons and dream of places outside of "the barrio". BTW That last note from Nessun Dorma always brings chills to me as well. Keep exposing yourself to classical music. You'll find the more you hear and the more you learn about the different classical pieces, the more you'll appreciate the beauty of the masters. They tapped into the beauty of the human spirit and connected it to God. Brahms, Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi, Puccini, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, Strauss, etc. Believe me, you'll thank yourself for doing so.

The song Nessun Dorma is from Puccini’s Turandot and the story of the aria is that he’s a man in love with a princess and by morning he promises that she WILL know his name and be his! The last repeated word “vincerò” is him saying right after dawn “al alba” that “I will win! I will win! I will win!” The high note at the end is what’s known as a high B4. He was capable of singing several steps higher. The famous “high C” or C5 which is the measuring stick for operatic tenors was at his command during the height of his career. The Master if the High C’s!

Good observation. That is the largest orchestra I have ever seen. And the best, just gorgeous. See the screen above the orchestra? That is not for the audience. The orchestra is so large, they can not all see the conductor, they are watching and following him on the screen. The story: he is a prince who will compete for the hand of the beautiful but cold princess in the morning. He must answer her three questions correction or lose his head. He is not worried, he knows he will win (vincero!!) He has given the princess a riddle of his own, he has kept his name secret. She has sent her servants all over the town to find out his name, hence the name of the aria, Nessun Dorma, no one sleeps. OH SHIT. This is the same video they all do.

Bravo! Yes he could have gone higher but he sang it the way it was written. Probably the the greatest tenoe of the mid to late Twentieth Century. Jerry Hadley was a young tenor of the late Twentieth Century and his version of 'Una Furtiva Logrima' (One Furtive Tear) is so beautiful his bel canto is flawless. He died, still young, in 2007 still going strong but depression got the better of him.

There's a live recording of the actual opera from awhile back. Luciano is very young and it is amazing.

Another unbelievable singer is Dimash Kudaibergen. This guy has an 6 octave range and he is trained since the age of 5 years old. Please react to Dimash singing "Adagio" from the singer competition 2017 and the song "Ogni Pietra" the fancam version or from his own channel. It's mind blowing. All the best from Germany and stay safe 🇩🇪 Petra

They were not a "group". Each was a noted star in his own right. They were assembled together solely for this very celebrated concert.

You would probably like "Ti Amo Cosi" sung by Dimash Kudaibergen, Aida Garrafulina, and Lara Fabian. Dimash is opera trained but is neoclassical in his approach. Aida Garrafulina is the lead soprano f the Vienna Opera, Lara Fabian is a also classically trained but, again more neoclassical in her tone. All are well known. The song itself is very classical with a full orchestra. At only age twenty-seven, Dimash is among the most capable singers in the world. You want high notes? He's got high notes. You want low notes, he's got low notes. Do you want perfect diction? Check. Do you want absolute precision? Check. The song is a logical progression for Pavarotti but does not really showcase Dimash's range. In this context, he's playing a subtle role as an operatic baritone. IF you want to hear his range in an operatic context, check out "Olimpico: Ogni Pietra." I call it "Star Wars: The opera." Here he is a baritone, tenor, alto soprano, you name it.

I'm so happy you chose this video. EVERYONE reacts to the SAME video and there are so many to choose from. Here you get to hear the three greatest tenors of our time. I fell in love with Placido Domingo when I was a couple years old. I never heard of Pavarotti until just a year or two ago, but when I did, my beloved Placido had to step aside. This video is adorable as they are competing with each other. I suggest that you also check out a video where Pavarroti solos as this is his signature aria. Just not the same one everyone else listens to. Oh Crap! It's the same video. "My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is utterly ruined." Review Bra.

There was a voice teacher who gave us a quick wrap of the story in which a princess must guess the bad guy's name (kinda Rumplestiltskin). So the princess is running around town telling everyone that they cannot sleep. The opera is Turandot.
