NO ONE single this like the lyricist; as only Mark Lowry truly knows the intent behind the words he penned. A classic new-ish modern Christmas hymn. Others sing it beautifully by IMHO lack the conviction of what they are singing and to Whom they are singing it. It’s done as just another lovely Christmas song. Mark and Voctave turn this into a worshipful Christmas hymn, sung with awe and reverence.

Mark sings this with the Gaither Vocal Band and I think it is a great version. It's simplicity makes the message more powerful. Also david phelps just released this which is amazing

This is my favorite rendition of this song! Mark sings with conviction and Voctave is so skilled; together it's amazing. Are you familiar with Chris Rupp from Home Free? He is a solo artist now, but has collaborated with a number of other artists, including a Russian singer Simon Khorolskiy in "Wayfaring Stranger." It is a hauntingly beautiful song.
