November Has Come!! Every November 1st I listen to this song. This is what I love about Gorillaz! Not only have they led me to my favorite band blur (in which Damon Albarn, singer and musical creator for Gorillaz is the singer-songwriter in that band) but they have led me to different genres/artists of music through their collabs so I can check out their stuff and keep discovering new music/artists! There's so many recommendations I have. "Welcome To The World of the Plastic Beach" is Snoop Dogg's first collaboration with them but "Hollywood" with Snoop and Jamie Principle is great too!

The insanity (villainy?) of Doom wasn’t just that his rhymes where a league above the rest, but that he made every line feel so natural. It seemed like that could just be the way that the character Doom communicated with the outside world. It wasn’t an act or a routine, it was just Doom.

I absolutely adore what both DOOM and Gorillaz have done in their careers, and this song is the perfect combination of everything I love. The flow, the rhymes, the icy vocals from Damon Albarn, the on point instrumentals, the absolutely pristine collaboration choices, everything. This isn’t my favorite Gorillaz song, but I would feel guilty to not put the illest villain in my top 10 Gorillaz songs ever released. Easily their best hip hop song.

The closest I can come to regarding DOOM and his rhyme schemes are Earl Sweatshirt. He's said that DOOM is his favorite rapper and biggest influence, and you can clearly hear it in most of his tracks. Since he's born in 1994 so obviously he isn't on DOOM's level, but even at the age of 16 he was a better lyricist than 98% of the rappers out there. Links to a track from his debut mixtape "Earl" and his part from "Odd Future - Oldies" with lyrics highlighted is posted down below. If you like lyriscism and rhyme schems, you wont be disappointed. "Hive" is another track from his first real solo album featuring Vince Staples where he goes off. /watch?v=GNafRp8n9us from 2010. Lyrical content makes early Eminem seem like a soft nerd, and it's just mindblowing that a 16 year old had rhyme schemes like this /watch?v=OFBZbFGHSa8 from 2012 when he turned 18

MF Doom just says fucking words and it is smooth as hell. I'm not even ashamed to say that some of my favs of his work was that damn Aqua Teen Hunger Force with Danger Mouse. I have the CD around here somewhere.
The Mouse and the Mask is amazing. The golden era of Adult Swim, brings so many great memories of 20 years ago spending Sundays with friends playing Tony Hawk and GTA3 until showtime.

No. He doesn't just say words. He crafts it so at face value it might seem nearly nonsensical but there's layers to it. He's the greatest to ever hold the mic. Ever.

@@Eviltopia No need for apologies. I didn't get him at first, either. It took a while for me to decipher his stuff after a friend suggested to give him another shot. After a lengthy analysis, DOOM reigns supreme. I had to let go some of my staunch favorites. He's incredible. The closest lyricist of his nature is not Aesop Rock like everyone else here suggests but J-Live. But even then, DOOM is orders of magnitude beyond anyone else.
