Stay with Me is from 1980. A lot of city pip songs were remixed in the late 2000s with extended intros and outros so yhey could be mixed in dance clubs. Thank you for reacting to Miki Matsubara's "Stay With Me," one of city pop's legendary hits. This song came out in 1979 and was also her debut single. She had been active from 1977 till 2000 due to illness. Sadly, she passed away 4 yrs after at age 44. I'm glad city pop is getting recognized again by the masses some 30+ yrs later. Lots of great hits from that era. There's another J-Pop genre that I feel needs to be recognized too - Shibuya-kei (1990s).
