Ong!!! I’m a millennial. My mom stayed listening to the oldies. Of course I listened to my own music as well, but the oldies always hit different. I now have a vinyl collection that has over 100 old school records. My son also loves the oldies. He’s 18. It he’s like me. He has his new stuff that he likes, but he stays reaching back to stuff that was coming out when I was a kid and even stuff that I listened to because of my mom. We need those pieces. It’s the soul. Without it, everything is emptiness.

Dude was fighting a ghost the whole time. Go rewatch the Poetic Justice and Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe videos the lyrics even fit. Kendrick killed him in front of everyone when he got him to say "I can never right my wrongs unless I write them down for real". Then in Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe he goes to the funeral, pops bottles, takes pictures with the casket, then dances on the grave.

It’s just Toronto lmao I’m from western Canada and we do not speak like that at all 😂 it’s like an nyc accent it’s regional! In the early 2000’s Canada had a lot of people who speak patois immigrate especially to Toronto so it’s the remnant’s of that but drake turns it up 100% he never spoke like that as a teen

You werent feeling the intro because you weren't intensively listening to what he was saying and as to the background of why it was said. Most people that don't really catch any of the bars, only respond when they hear a name they can recognize or associate with.....like the mentioning of 'Pac'.

The words that are reversed is from the movie "The Wiz" with Richord Pryor being exposed under the cover where he says," Every thing they say about me is true, I am a phony"! So kendrick went at Drake character about what everyone in the Black American Rap Culture already said about Drake, his character and how he acts. He's breaking him down and showing everyone who Drake really is. BTW , they always mess Kendrick lyrics up in these videos.

Every verse there are multiple entendres ( deeper hidden meaning) throughout including the title itself. If you ever get the chance, go to the full breakdown video of euphoria by Flwr. Kendrick goes very deep because Drake told him he better bring many entendres throughout his next drop so K- Dot brought more than anybody could ever catch pass the surface level of the whole entire diss. K-Dot is a genius on this diss track to Drake.

Drake apparently asked for a quintuple entendre since he had to wait for a response. These are the ones just from the title page. 1. Richard Pryor as the Wiz “Everything they say about me is true I’m a phony” is the backwards line. 2. The definition of Euphoria. Drake has been riding high waiting for this response. 3. Drake is a producer on the HBO show Euphoria that is about teenagers drugs and sexuality. (I tried watching it but it was disturbing, turned it off.) 4. My latest greatest inspiration by Teddy Pendergast is the sample. 5. Second line of the definition “They had almost a week to recover from the euphoria of Tuesday’s series-winning victory” Euphoria was dropped on a Tuesday. 6. April 30th the release day is also National Honesty Day fwiw. So yeah, it’s a slow start but each verse gets more and more aggressive but he gave us so many double and triple entendres to figure out. It has been like a fun puzzle trying to figure it all out.

The track functions as a gradual warm-up, ratcheting up in intensity as the song progresses OG. The soft spoken word portion was essentially the thesis statement of this entire beef and is pretty prophetic given how closely it matches the events that took place over the next 3-4 days.

How can someone read a rap battle. The amount of concentration to read every word while keeping up with the tempo and bars. Uuuuuuf this is the worst reaction I have seen, because it makes no sense. Kendericks annunciation is perfection. You don't miss a word anyhow. The version is also a slower version. To have to read words was so distracting and no wonder there was no reaction :/
