Taka has a younger brother who is in the same industry, his name is Hiro, vocalist of the band "MY FIRST STORY". On November 14th they held a concert together "VS" at the Tokyo Dome. If you're interested, please leave a reaction for mfs too~ Their songs are more J-Rock and only a few have CC. But if that's not a problem, many of their songs are also good recommendations to check~

Japan has been in what we called "Lost Decades" for so long. People are so stressful. New generations and youngster have no hope. We can see many youngster try to break out from the old way. Less marriage, Less new born, Kids don't want to go to university and work for one company for life. Rate of commiting suicide is rising. Taka wrote this song (and many more) that they can totally relate to, it speaks their mind. That's why they engaging so much with their songs and the performance.

The members are Taka (frontman), Ryota (bass), Toru (guitar) and Tomoya (drums). "We are" is such an athem for the younger generation. Taka writes most of the lyrics and he wants to deliver a meaningful message. He has not only a great voice, he's also a very emotional singer and his interaction with the crowd is awesome. These guys bring so much energy to their performances. I had the pleasure to see them live in Germany this year and it was awesome. They have been to the US and I'm sure they will go there again. If you have the opportunity to attend one of their concerts, you shouldn't miss it. About their band name I quote Wikipedia: "The band's name comes from "one o'clock", the time that the band used to practice their music on weekends. They chose to play at one o'clock in the morning because it was cheaper to use the rehearsal space during such hours. However, noticing that the Japanese language made no distinction between R's and L's, "O'CLOCK" transformed into "O'CROCK" or "O'KROCK", which later transformed into "OK ROCK". I saw in a video from their Japan tour that they pronounced their band name like "One O'Krock", but outside of Japan they introduce themselves as One OK(ay) Rock and in English interviews Taka also said the band name the way you read it. I highly recommend their song "Take what you want": kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j82eacSaudqnlY0.html (also from the Ambitions Japan Dome tour). They have so many great songs, some are more like pop-rock, some heavier songs like "Deeper Deeper" or "Liar" with screams and growls and also ballads. OOR is a rabbit hole to go down.

The performance of the fans with the band is not scripted at all. Taka is just so great in commanding the crowd that even fans already know when and where they will sing with him. Welcome to the rabbit hole of OOR.
@RNTV
@RNTV 8 ай бұрын
I looked it up after and I found an article that said this "OOR was the first artiste to perform for this event in 2016, and they chose the fans by going through their submitted videos. One month before the filming, the participants had a rehearsal with a professional to arrange the song to get the choir-like arrangement you see in this rendition of we are." As amazing as it would be for this to have been raw, it's just so hard to get that amount of people to all do the same thing without rehearsing.

@@RNTVno, what you are talking about is the 18 fes. Wich was broadcasted on TV. @@RNTV We Are is a song from One Ok Rock's album Ambitions, whose theme is singing together. As far as I remember, they hold auditions for fans who were lucky enough to be chosen to provide background vocals. We Are is one of their songs with those background vocals/choirs, the other one is Jaded. In this concerts, I think they used backing track. We are we are parts sounds louder than the sound of fans singing while the instuments stopped playing.

FYI: This is the last encore song, 21 of 21 songs that they played during this specific live. And Taka (the vocalist) was sick during this live, and the concert was held for about 45 minutes due to his condition The members are: Taka (Vocalist) 35 Toru (Leader/Lead Guitarist) 34 Tomoya (Drummer) 36 Ryota (Bassist) 34 The band formed in 2005, and the name One Ok Rock came from their practice time when they were in highschool, 1 AM in the morning (one o'clock) because it's the cheapest studio that they can afford at that time, and then it changed to (One Ok Rock) because japanese can't really tell the difference between L & R They Collab with Ed Sheeran to make their song called Renegades

2018 Ambitions Dome Tour was one of my favorite concerts that I experienced, I went to Fukuoka for the final two shows of this tour at Yafuoku Dome (currently called PayPay Dome) with 42,000 capacity. It was my first ever concert in such gigantic venue and I still remember I was totally SHOCKED seeing the wrist light changes color by the engineering team. You guys should DEFINITELY buy the blue ray of this concert, I highly recommend you guys watch this full concert. I still remember the powerful feeling that the crowd became as ONE with the music, I cried so hard and my soul fully charged. It was my favorite four days in Japan. Can't wait for November 14th, still can't believe I'm going to Tokyo Dome AGAIN this year to see them having a concert with the main vocalist's brother's rock band called MY FIRST STORY.

Tons of songs cause they have been here for a long time. You should check The 18 fes version. It is so beautiful. An amazing fact: this is in Japan and did you notice there are no phones? Not a single person with a cell phone out. That is fantastic. Experiencing it with your own eyes, mind and soul, not through a phone.

I was at this concert and it was amazing🔥🔥 The crowd really comes together at their concerts. This performance was at Tokyo Dome. Glad you enjoyed this and it's nice that you recognize not only the energy and lyrics, but also the editing of the video. OOR is one of the biggest bands in Japan and they work with the best people. The band tours worldwide and are currently touring in Asia. Earlier this year they headlined in Europe and also opened for Muse in the U.S. and Europe. Recommend you check out my favorite song "The Beginning" from Eye of the Storm Japan Tour. This is one of the band's biggest hits and you'll get to hear more of the seamless transitions between languages.

You like talented rock musicians with a positive message? Well, then you shouldn't get bored any time soon. :) The amount of talent which exists in the Land of the Rising Sun is incredible and many of these bands tend to write songs with positive, uplifting or encouraging lyrics, which you often don't even have to understand in order to get or feel what the musicians are trying to convey. I'd like to recommend Band-Maid with their track 'Freedom' (Official Live) if you want more like this. :) Greetings from Germany. 🙋🏻‍♂ _____________________ _"Sometimes we laugh because we're sad or to hide our frustration"_ - from *Gacharic Spin* -「 I Wish I 」 🎶✨

Info on the lights in the crowd. In Japan and Korea, usually folks use the term “ocean” to describe the lights in the crowd. The amount of lights in the crowd indicates the amount of support that you get. Basically, those who have their lights on, support and back you up 110%. There has been instances (mostly in Korea) where when the fans are displeased with the performance or performers, they will turn off their lights collectively, this is the infamous “black ocean” In conclusion, the lights usually planned but not mandatory. It is the choice of the fans whether or not they want to turn on their lights. Idk about this concert in particular but to my knowledge, it’s always how it’s been.

I don’t know if you already know this, because you’ve already reacted to lots of their songs by the time I’m making this comment, but the name is actually pronounced the same as “one o’clock” but “rock” instead of “lock.” I think it’s a deliberate play on words because the “L” sound doesn’t appear in the Japanese syllabary, so all in all foreign words with “L,” it’s replaced with an “R.” (television = “teRebi”) So, if a Japanese person says “one o’clock” it would sound like “one o’crock” or “one ok rock.” Get it? 😂 They named it One O’Clock” because they started rehearsing at one in the morning.
@RNTV
@RNTV 5 ай бұрын
@cbtowers4841 So, we have done our research and I think a lot of people are confused from them giving the origins of the name. Here are two links. One is Taka himself saying it the way we do, and another is them being interviewed on MTV and they are introduced the way we say it. It's possible that they realize marketing themselves as One OK Rock in English speaking Countries would be better than one o’crock. So we do know the origins of the name and how people in Japan say it, but if they are marketing themselves as One OK Rock in English speaking Countries then that's what we are going to do as well. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nZuHhdKVxJepiI0.htmlsi=nX0pBSm4tacB6Hch kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bpaTnbScuZyqdGw.htmlsi=Igoku7MikuHaTqzW

Why do you think he should sing in English all the time when the crowd is Japanese? Most Japanese don’t speak English. One Ok Rock will sing part of the song in English and part in Japanese. But, there are some songs that are in all Japanese for their Japanese fans. I can’t stand it when some vloggers complain about the lyrics aren’t in English like every country should sing in English neglecting their countrymen. Westerners are so rude and entitled ( not saying you two).

@kuroneko7022 I never ever said that. You are reading a bit too much into it. Reactors have to have reasons to pause and talk. It's the only way we can stay within the laws of fair use. Pausing and transforming the content into something new. We are not musicians or vocal coaches. They only thing we can pause and talk about is the lyrics. When a song is not in English it's best for us to not react at all. Not because we don't appreciate the person's voice or culture, and not because we want them to neglect their countrymen. It's simply because we have nothing to pause and talk about. We are better off just enjoying those performances on our own without reacting.

Please do take what you want and go from one okay rock! I love your reactions on every video you do, but one okay rock is my all time favorite band! Not only from the performance but the energy they bring the lyric they say. I love the reaction from Dax how to be a man, and I think take what you want will bring the same result I guarantee it
