I just read this and it’s absolutely dead on. I’ll add one thing though. Pantera saw their fans as extended family and treated everyone they met and every show as such. True showmen who weren’t wrapped up with fame and accolades. They were 💯 raw emotion on stage and the fans reaction directly effected the show.

Great reaction you guys. Pantera was a fantastic band. Dimebag Darrell was a metal god playing guitar. The unbelievably sad and tragic thing was he was murdered on stage in 2004 by a deranged "fan" Pantera had broken up years earlier, and he and his brother Vinnie Paul (drummer) started a new band together named Damage Plan. They were promoting their new album and were playing in a small club in Ohio when the tragedy happened. The psycho got up on stage and murdered Dimebag and others because he was allegedly upset that Pantera broke up. Vinnie Paul saw the whole thing happen, can you imagine seeing your own brother killed in front of your eyes? just awful and heartbreaking. Vinnie Paul has since passed away, he died in 2018. Pantera's music will live on forever, and so will the Abbott brothers R.I.P. from Dallas Texas. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🎶🎶🎶🎶

I've been in the front row of a Pantera show as a teen in the 90's. I will never forget the feeling of how hard the kick drum hit. It made it hard to breathe. It was actually difficult to draw a breath in when he was grinding on the double bass. It was at that same show that I made my way into the pit. I was kicked in the throat and lost my voice for a little over a week. When I would try to speak it sounded like a kazoo that was being played by someone who sucked in a bunch of helium lol.

My first Pantera concert was in Columbus Ohio, the mosh pit was so large people were being sucked into it against their will. One guy standing next to us said I'm going to the pit, he came back 2 hours later with a broken leg.

You can not imagine how loud it is. Think of the loudest thing you’ve heard, and a metal concert with one of the biggest bands is even louder. It is loud and clear through the crowd, believe me. Your ears ring for a few days later after a large metal concert
