Peter and Tim have done over 12 collaborations. Some of them are Sound of Silence, Teach your Children,Blackbird, Greensleeves, Bridge over trouble water, Sunshine on my Shoulders plus others you could check out. Oh it’s a great version. My favorite. Peter is a master of layering. It’s just their two voices with about 120 tracks. Crazily enough, Peter was in Oregon and Tim was in the Cayman Islands filming at Hell’s canyon (kid you not). Peter and Tim have collaborated many times. I love Greensleeves, And So It Goes, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Blackbird. So many songs. I think Peter has 4 if not 5 octaves. I believe Peter and Tim go way back singing in a group together a long time ago? I feel like this version could be in the movie. Good reaction! Check out some of their other collaborations. 🥰

Thankyou for such a wonderful reaction! Please check out Peter and Tim's rendition of "Greensleeves"!! They did the video in one take because he wanted to capture the sunsets position at that moment. Also, in their performance, Tim goes from his low, low range up to his high register within seconds! It is immaculate and just beautiful. I still get tears in my eyes each time I listen to it.

Don't know how I missed this earlier -- it just popped up on my feed this morning! Peter has taken J.R.R. Tolkein's lyric poetry to new heights with this one! He and Tim created a huge choir of angels (no, maybe make that elves) to spur the dwarves to action. Even Richard Armitage (Peter Jackson's film dwarf) can't top this version. And hear Peter's high soprano in that choir! Contrast that to Tim's breathy bass, and WOW. My mother was a pipe organist, and as I hear this, I can almost see her hands and feet on the keyboards. A wall of sound! [Aside: When I was little she would let me sit under her bench and press the foot pedals for her. What a beautiful memory this inspires.] Love your reaction -- agree that this is a true masterpiece. Thank you for sharing!!!

Peter Hollens and Tim Faust is an unfailable combination. They do great work together. This is certainly no exception. This production is a good one. The Wellermen did a truly magnificient version of MM, with 14 basses all at once. Jonathan Younge has also covered it, as multiple others. Still my heart put Geoff in the nr 1 spot, not discarding any of the above mentioned. The range of Tim I believe matches Geoff rather closely. They use different technics going low, Geoff subharmonics and Tim growls. As I've heard it, the 2 of them have been helping each other out with practising those methodes. My personal opinion is that Geoffs sounds better, being more mellow and melodious in his notes at both extremes of his range though Tim has a great voice too. Avi Kaplan has a very warm voice as well, but I think not quite as wide range as the other 2. He is a great poet and performer though. I have not explored Peter very well. He has a great production and what I've heard has me impressed. He has talent and humour, which I think essential in all performance. He har Geoff cameoing in one of his Christmas collections, where also his wife and son sings.

Peter in the higher tenor ranges & then paired with the true natural bass voice of Tim. And that last dragon's breath note is truly remarkable & how long he sustains it. Peter & Tim have collaborated on quite a few other songs & they are all beautiful. Peter is a master at layering voices.
