You should listen to songs from library of ruinia and or lobotomy Corperation. Which are games made by Project Moon (a south Korean based indie game studio with only 2 games made and a third one on the way which is free).The best ones are made by Mili like gone Angels and children of the city but the outher beats slap no matter what style of music they do. (Context they have large range of music styles/category's so one is heavy metal dark souls concert another is,a calming classical bop,dubstep esc warning blaring) The entire sound track slaps so give it a listen and maybe even a playthrough of lobotomy Corperation and library of ruinia,the music slap,plot is good,art good and emotional damage and mental damage very good.

Rivers in the desert plays in every fight of the 4th dungeon. WHich is also the coolest of the game. Not that the rest are bad.... well, the 5th dungeon is a bit tedious.

This song plays during the boss fight that most of the story has been building up to. Each boss fight MATTERS for one of your characters, and this boss is the one that matters for your Main character. This is your justice against the big bad who ruined your life. Of course, there's a lot more to it than that, but yeah. It's incredible.

he strikers version is amazing as well especially with the way it synchs up with the boss introduction with the build up as hes walking then the lyrics kicking in as his full forms revealed and then the main corus starting as the fight begins

The game handles the implementation incredibly as well. Just something as simple as playing an instrumental version for the first phase of the fight adds so much. It's different than the boss theme you have been hearing this whole time, it is still awesome, but just something new to vibe to, but then that second phase starts and the vocals come out and, for me at least, it literally stopped me in my tracks while playing. Just had to listen for a while.

As amazing as the persona music is, the entire construction of the song is still built for the video game. It's so much more powerful when taking in the context of everything that has happened when this song starts playing. When your back is against the wall against a super charged boss, and the lyrics sing 'Creating rivers in the desert'. Such a powerful song, really makes you feel like a super hero. Life will change has a similar feeling. It only plays during the last time you enter at dungeon, and man do you feel like a phantom thief badass.

Persona 5 is one of my favorite games. The soundtrack has me feeling invincible and at other times I am weeping. If you have 60+ (100+ I was wrong) hours I recommend playing it. Edit: P.S. This song is used for a boss fight.

This is indeed a boss theme, and a very important one to the plot. As a non-persona fan, P5 is the only Persona game I played and it was great. Even played all of P5R on its release (the "extended" version). And yeah this games OST is so good, the whole game is incredibly stylized, music included. Another game also with very stylized and amazing (but totally different) music is Nier: Automata. Highly recommend the song "Weight of the World" from that game, but also pretty much amazing OST across the board.

Since you asked for more Persona 5 recommendations, I would say "Throw Away Your Mask" and "With the Stars and Us". But to be honest, the selection of amazing songs is just insane, can't really go wrong with any P5 song.

Rivers in the Desert is my favorite track from P5. Another banger is Blooming Villain. It doesn't have any vocals but its an impressively constructed boss fight theme.

Yes, all the OST in the game appears either during the cutscenes with dialogue or action, as well as when you're exploring the Palaces or in a fight. It's super immersing, every Palace has two different soundtracks, the open world music varies depending on time of day and weather. It's an amazing game with an incredible soundtrack

Persona 5 has amazing music, but "Rivers in the Desert" is by far my most favorite song. It happens in a moment in the game where the song will have the most emotional impact. When this song came up in game, I got chills, my head was bobbing, and I had the biggest grin on my face. They could NOT have picked a better moment an a better song. In my opinion, this song and that moment are a reason to play Persona 5. When you get there, you'll get it.

Rivers in the desert is the song where you go up against one of the last bosses from the game. Makes us who play it excited and ready to fight him. The song itself is a lot of impossible scenarios "A heartbeat in a Tin Man", "An oasis in a singed land" and "rivers in the desert". They are all impossible things but with the power of "PERSONA" You could make it real. That's the basic premise of the song and an absolute bop. Check out Awakening and Will Power together as they go right next to each other in the game.

I wouldn't say impossible. This song is about the turnaround. As in you are walking and drying up in a desert and you find a river. As in you have a lost set of cards and you draw an ace as in the tinman is dead but somehow the heart is beating for a last time. An oasis is not impossible to find in a singed land. But it is a blessing and it turns around your fate. Which is metaphorically what you are doing fighting the boss.

Persona 5 has some of the best game music out there. You've now gone through 2/3 of the soundtrack's epic triple crown: -Life Will Change (played on your last run through each dungeon) -Rivers in the Desert (played during one of the last bosses) The final leg: "Last Surprise," the game's regular battle theme. You should definitely check that out ASAP.

One special aspect of this ost is that most boss themes on p5 represent the individual you are fighting, their warped view of the world and character, but even thought this ost plays at one of the most hyped boss fights in the game it breaks that rule. This song isn't about the most hyped enemy in the game, no, this song is about you and your resolve to take him down

The main boss fight this song is connected to has two phases to it. The first phase is just the instrumental version of the song when you and your team are fighting the boss together. The second phase with the lyrics happen when the boss kick your team out of the fight, and it's just you vs him.

Hearing this play during the final palace boss makes it much more impactful, after everything you and your friends went through, getting to the level where you can fight back against your oppressor, this OST piece is masterful!

You should check out some of NieR: Automata music. It's a game well known by its amazing songs; awarded as the best game soundtrack of 2017. You should start by listening to "Weight of the World (Eng. Version)"; it's a very beautiful/emotional song.

Persona 5 just dared to write multiple masterpiece level songs and just use them one once each in a 100+ hours playthroug. The epitome of that would have to be "Persona 5 OST 96 - Improvised Song Dedicated to the next Prime Minister’s Ship", for which I recommend you track down the extended version. It plays once, performed live by a pianist, in a single room, muffled by cutscenes and dialogue in a way that would cause most people to miss it entirely unless they specifically approached the piano. Just brilliant!

If you wish to eplore the variety of genres present in Persona 5, then songs like No More What Ifs and Beneath the Mask are definitely up there for the slower jazzy type songs. One plays at an oldschool like jazz bar that you can visit in game, and other plays when you arrive back home after a long day. As for the more energetic, epic and hard hitting songs like this one, i would recommend Throw Away Your Mask and I Believe. Both of these play near the very end of the game as you make your way to encounter the big bad guy for the last time. For the fans of funky songs and groovy beats you can't go wrong with Last Surprise, The Whims of Fate or Take Over. Two of these are not just your everyday battle themes, but rather battle themes that make you feel like a fucking badass. One on the other hand is a dungeon theme and widely considered the best there is in the entire game. Lastly, if we wish to experience just simply incredible emotional music that can and will make you reflect on your journey thus far, Hoshi To Bokura To and Our Light are the heavy hitters that make even the strongest just a little emotional. This has been my Persona 5 OST recommendations, thank you for reading and have a damn good one.

I played Persona 3 4 & 5 and yes they all have banger songs. You could also try Falcom games Trails series (ex. Spiral of Erebos, Azure Arbitrator) and Ys Series (ex. Sunshine Coastline, Desert after Tears.)

I played it during holidays and I was so glad I didn't know anything about it. Persona 5 Royal is one of my favorite games now and I highly recommend just going in there! The visual and musical style alone keeps you entertained, on top of that you get lovable characters, fully animated story cutscenes here and there and of course fun gameplay!

I am filled with envy right now, listening to these songs for the first time is the best experience ever. I remember playing through the first time and getting really emotional during scenes and fights. It was simply amazing, and I wish I could do it again as a first time. This song has got to be by favourite out of this game's whole OST, glad to see you discovering some of the music from this series. As for other game related recommendations id suggest giving "Love the subhuman self" or "What do you fight for" from Guilty Gear Strive's OST a look into. The soundtrack as a whole is full of great tracks that I think you might like.

Now I'm sad i've missed it :( Off topic comments aside, Persona 5 does have a really consistently great soundtrack, so I don't think you'll dislike any of them lol. But I'll personally recommend both Last Surprise and Beneath the Mask. The last one is significantly more mellow than the other, but I think it really delivers the jazzy tune you've been hearing from the other osts too. Also, try looking into music from other persona games if you can. For example, Burn my Dread from Persona 3 is a banger and I think you'll really like it.

I highly recommend that you check out “the weight of life” from xenoblade chronicles 3. The entirety of the nearly 12 hours of music from the game is absolutely fantastic, though this song is probably the best embodiment of the game.

I remember when I first played Persona 5, and I got to the part this song is in. I got got emotional with how powerful the song is. I littarly put my controller down and let the song play. Also if you do play the game, depending witch version you play, there are requirements to get to the point where you hear the song. But the requirements aren't bad. You can look them up without getting any spoilers

Rivers in the Desert is the boss theme of one of the Antagonists in the game and is also one of the most memorable fights in it. You should defenetly consider playing the game on the channel either on Twitch or here on KZfaq it's a great story with great characters and obviously as you're starting to learn, a great OST too! As for other OST suggestions I suggest Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Moebius Interlink Battle Full Version

I'd be up to watch a P5R playthrough, especially since I've watched others. I really enjoy seeing people discover the game for the first time and react to the details and the awakenings. I’m glad you’re loving the persona 5 soundtrack so far!! I’m playing this once more to show my boyfriend this game and he loves the soundtrack as well. If you ever decide to play it it’s an experience, Listening to this whole soundtrack would be a great Idea, I’m not sure if others have told you but the music from previous Persona entries are also great, 3 and 4 have great soundtracks too!

You should check out Beneath the Mask. A song that plays every night. The first few nights you get the intrumental version but as soon as the game opens up and allows you to go out at night, the singer comes in and sings you a metiphorical poem! It is by far the best song to listen to on a rainy night with a cup of coffie and a book. And that was very much intetional. ;)

The entire Persona series soundtracks are so godlike that they went on a short tour where they played live. P5 Royal is the only platinum I have, only for the fact that my main console is Xbox. I have over 700 hours in the persona 5 series itself. 300+ in P5R, 200+ in P5. And I own P5 Strikers on switch and PlayStation which is easily 120 hours for me. I plan on replaying again after watching this.

Funny thought: As western as the first 2 seem, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid, Kingdom Hearts and Persona are all japanese games. Which means we are still delving into the japanese media rabbit hole 😆 The japanese people just REALLY like having top level music in their games it seems kk

I'd like to recommend some Chrono Cross - Time's Scar, Star Stealing Girl, Another World and others. Yasunori Mitsueda is a master of music. Persona 5 is a story about standing up against those who do wrong in a modern world, breaking free from society's chains and expectations, and uncovering a mystery while proving your own innocence. It's a LOT of fun, the characters and story is really great and there's a lot of music in it that you'll just keep with you forever.

Hoyoverse, creators of Honkai and Genshin produce amazing music. I would love to see you react specifically to Rubia from Honkai Impact 3rd. All of their music is amazing, but this song resonates with so many people and is honestly an amazing work for a mobile or any platform game!

Rivers in the desert is now a legeandary song up there with one winged angel among the titans in gaming music now and its awesome a non final fantasy track made it into the big time because rivers in the desert best boss song I heard in any modern game in my opinion and can only be heard few times. Music stars on youtube has reviewed this song and loved it I mean its up there with some of the titans of video game music who would have thought.

Persona games gave always been very story-driven, both plot and character stories. P5 Royal, in my opinion having played Persona 3 and 4, has the most to say about Japanese society and is surprisingly critical of quite a bit of it. I'd suggest looking at the Nier games soundtracks (Automata and Replicant). That music is so much a part of those games that quite a lot of fan wanted to know if the game music would used in the new Nier Automata anime. Thankfully, they're easy to find. Square Enix has a music KZfaq channel with the soundtracks of most of their games on it, including the Nier games.

As others have mentioned, this is the boss theme for a late game boss that is kinda the main character's "BOSS" (it's story relevant). But I've come to realise that this isn't the theme song of that boss. It's used in subsequent fights, and during the main fight, it starts off mostly instrumental. Then, as you make your way through the fight, more and more lyrics are added. These things made me realise that this isn't the boss theme, it's the theme of the protagonist. Both the lyrics and the multiple uses of this song during some of the toughest fights in the game support this theory.

It's funny you did this cause Persona 5 just got its "return" collab recently in my favorite gacha game (last one was 2018), that being Granblue Fantasy. And you get to hear Persona 5 music in the event too (Cause Granblue has alot of original vocal music too made by the original Final Fantasy Team). Lol XD

Almost all of the persona music are bangers, i would say persona 3 is my favorite for its soundtrack, its kinda funky with some rap and orchestral pieces.

if you’re going to dive in persona 5’s music, i also recommend the osts from persona 5 strikers, which is its sequel. “you are stronger,” “daredevil”, “counterstrike” and “axe to grind” are all hard hitting, not to mention the rock/metal influences!

Once you're done with Persona, I definitely recommend checking out some of the soundtrack from "The World Ends With You: Final Remix" and it's sequel "NEO: The World Ends With You". Both have amazing soundtracks on par with the Persona games.

What about other games like: -Genshin Impact. Tartaglia/Childe battle OST and Scaramouche battle OST. I mean Genshin's entire soundtrack is really varied. - Fire Emblem. The recent entry "Engage" had quite a lot remixes of older entries since it was the game for the 30th year anniversary. From the top of my head, "Don't speak her name" is an emotional one that plays during a specific chapter and adds to how severe the situation is.

Even if it's very different from Persona 5 OST, I'm pretty sure you could like "One Last You" from Xenoblade Chronicles 2... It's a very powerful video game with such incredible OST too. Plus, you could check on "Hollow" from Yosh. It's the credit song of Final Fantasy 7 Remake and it is an enormous bomb of melody !

Everytime I hear this song all I can think is the final palace battle. This song also goes so well when you go against the twins. I would also suggest songs from Royal the third Semester final battle OSTs Throw Away Your Mask and I Believe are amazing!but anything from P5 and Royal are great it was my first introduction to Acid Jazz.
