yes burned out but the burnout never stops. the words in Korean for wildflower and fireworks are apparently very similar. but unlike fireworks which are spectacular (a spectacle), no one pays attention to wildflower which are allowed to be free/wild, just be, be what they are, and grow naturally in peace.

Namjoon has done a lot of interviews since the release explaining the songs. He says that flowerwork came to him years ago and the song came from that key word. He said fireworks are beautiful, take lots of time to plan and set up, they are stunning and shine bright, but are over quickly. He said that is a little like BTS, but lying in a meadow of wild flowers and throwing them up and watching them come down and remaining is more like his real self.

@peteyca Жыл бұрын
@@sc33h3o3 Yes. 들꽃 means wild flower. 놀이 means PLAY, but in English translation, for this situation, Flower-WORK can also work. Fireworks can be said in 2 ways in Korean 불꽃놀이 or 불꽃 … both mean the same in English. But in English to Korean literal translation it’s: 불: fire 꽃: flower 놀이: play In my opinion, I think he writes it as FLOWERWORK, because in English it’s firework not fireplay. Just shows how much consideration he puts into his creativity for the western audience.

His album idigo. It's just a work of art. Namjoon is such a great lyricist and poet. “wild flower” is about namjoon’s desire to live like humble, tranquil wildflowers rather than a flame that quickly blows out. It's is about namjoon finally reaching acceptance and inner peace.. he kept fighting his demons for years that he felt that there was no way getting out until HE pulled himself out and trying to love and appreciate the moments we are living in. It actually might be a bit difficult for outsiders to understand this song bc they're new to his journey , but you're catching up well. This is very deep. And about "Flower work" , it's a play on words by him. As you know he's known for his Wordplay and deep lyrics. There was a letter he wrote to us, Army back in 2017 and the title of the letter was something like this "maybe rather than fireworks or cherry blossom, we need wildflowers. the kind that grows peacefully." he wants him to grow as peacefully as wild flower. because in the above sentence wildflowers, cherry blossoms, fireworks sounds similar in korean words, so it's a Wordplay. He mixed wildflower + fireworks= flower works. where he compared kim Namjoon to wildflower and RM of BTS/BTS in general as firework.

Really sorry about your friend 💜 Pharrell did not produce this song. There’s no Pharrell production on Indigo. We still don’t know what his collab is with BTS. This song was produced by Docskim, a frequent collaborator and friend of Namjoon/BTS. He said this song is the thing that stopped him from retiring and reinvigorated his love for music after his mother died. Also I highly recommend listening to Indigo in order and doing the same for Mono., especially if you enjoy the style of Wildflower/Indigo overall. Mono. is also written in a way that can be looped in order and tell a continuous narrative.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you’ll find tracks in Indigo that makes you smile. This song is emotional for me, in fact the entire album has affected me like no other. RM himself has said this is a diary of his 20’s and me being long past my 20’s find strong connection to the lyrics. There is a Magazine Film video in which he explains the tracks along with all the collaborators discuss how they came to collaborate and I think you would enjoy it.

Mono is definitely a different side to RM, it's a lot softer and contains way fewer raps compared to his first mixtape titled 'RM' in 2015. Indigo is a mix of the two of these. And while Mono (and even Indigo to an extent) lacks in rap complexities, it makes up for in deep lyrical messages. Obviously, they are all great works of art and have a varying mix of complex introspectiveness from RM and crazy rap flows from Rap Monster. But the three mixtapes/albums do have different styles. If you want more crazy raps from RM, I suggest God Rap, Awakening, and Rush. Also, just a suggestion for if you see it: First Love by Suga. It's Suga solo song on their album Wings. Every member got a solo song on this album and Suga's one is my favorite because of the passion, story-telling and meaning behind it. Please check it out (obviously, after RM week) as it's a different side to Suga, I recommend this lyrics video - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ip6GbMRn3NKVn30.html

Firstly I'm so sorry for your loss. Please take all the time you guys need :) If you want to find out more about his album in your own time I'd suggest checking out RM 'Indigo' Album Magazine Film on the BANGTANTV channel, his interview on the Zach Sang Show and his Weverse live (went through each track and also performed Forg_tful and Wild Flower). From the Magazine Film, it was revealed that producer on this track was initially planning on quitting producing after this song. However, working on this song with Namjoon gave him hope and reignited his passion - it's incredible how his music affects people. You should also watch his NPR Tiny Desk performance!! And he had a mini exclusive concert last night which was filmed and will be uploaded later (haven't announced when yet)!! I absolutely love Indigo. Although every song is sonically different, the storytelling is interwoven within his lyrics and he put 110% of his soul into this masterpiece. The more you watch his interviews, the more you realise how well-thought and intentional his actions always are from the order of the tracks to the people he chose to collab with.

And I'm putting on top what went in order: PLEASE take your time, the time you need to mourn. I'm so sorry for your loss. I saw Bobby wasn't doing so well so I think for whatever reason the song was speaking to him (melody or lyrics perhaps?). Let it all soak in and be back when really ready. I appreciate you guys a lot. Take care Notes: - Nick, this isn't the Pharrell collab, that's still a msytery (and probably on his album and with more members if not all), docskim is the producer here and he's the GOAT with pdogg. A tremendously talented man, keyboardist and synth guy, plus he was teh only one who came up to bring peace after last year's Mike Dean fiasco (he's so... argh). - I hope you listen to Persona (and other songs, from debut on lol) sometime, you would have caught those lines "where you go, where's your soul, where's your dream". It is an important song for him as he sang it in his intimate concert (for 200 lucky people) yesterday, after singing the whole album. - Flowerwork is a play on words, so Namjoon-like :) In the 3 Eastern Asian languages I know, firework word is actually formed as "flower of fire/smoke): JP hanabi, CN yanhua, KR bulkkot. Where "-kkot" is flower/blossom. Joon changes two similar sounding words: bul (fire) for deul (field) --> bulkkot fire+flower (fireworks) but deulkkot field+flower (flowerfield, wildflowers). Also the original title adds "nori" which means play, so he changed the "display of fireworks" to "playing among wildflowers"... Yeah, I know. It's simple but requires some background knowledge ^^U - Don't feel you have the direction of a BTS or BTS member album pinned down by the title track ;) Hahaha. You are in for a rollercoaster all the time. Plus the songs not being what you expect from the title (am I right, army? Change pt 2?) Today he came to have a listening party on Stationhead while streaming his album. He's effortlessly funny and cute. He's more innocent than he looks (we have everyone telling us this about him, recently his friend John Eun). If you want, the sessions stay recorded so you can check on Stationhead: btsofficial account, we had a listening party for Jack in the box too! And all this started because one of our trusted fanbases btschartdata started using the app when they only had 8 employees and we all joined there to stream Butter and we tested the servers for them :_) 250k people. This morning (European time) there were 20k of us tuned in or so.

Change on the album is a drunken lyric sketch that got kept for the album. My favourite is Lonely....a covid theme song that had me singing... fucking lonely na honja seome( alone on an island) around the house. RM said BTS is like a firework and he coined the phrase flower work because he imagined an image not so spectacularly dramatic but driffting softly to the earth. That represented the real him, now hes leaving his difficult twenties and turning thirty.

RM, in my opinion, peaked as a rapper in 2015 when he was still Rap Monster. Monster and Joke are my favorite displays of rap from him. But he has definitely grown up as an artist and person since then, and become more introspective and deeper with his lyrical content, which is what you'll see in Mono and Indigo. He still has some great rap verses in the last few years (Tear and Ddaeng in 2018, UGH in 2020) and the few complex raps in this.

In the Wild Flower video RM used traditional Korean firework called Nakhwa nori. You can find videos on KZfaq that shows how they are made and used. It's really cool. The Indigo album is awesome and you will have already listened to it all by now...but 10 songs, 10 genres, 10 sounds and he makes them all work. Fun fact about Change pt.2...it is a drunken demo. Namjoon's song 들꽃놀이 is actually a wordplay itself, in Eng it's simply called 'wild flowers' but the Korean title is actually his own wordplay from the word 불꽃놀이 which means fireworks/fire play. 불꽃 means flame/spark (fire flower to be very literal) and he took the 놀이 part which means playing/game and merge it with 불꽃 (flowers that bloom in a field), so 들꽃놀이 literally means 'Wildflowers Works' in the similar sense of word as 'Fireworks' but instead a display of fire it's wild flowers *thanks to Army from Instagram that translated this.

I'm so sorry for your loss, loosing a friend is devastating, it is completely understandable that you aren't feeling like your usual selves. Please honour how you feel and don't try to be your "usual selves" until you feel ready to, and its okay to vacillate back and forth between coping and not coping, give yourselves time. Decent people will understand. I am more of a lyric person than a rap person, I loved Wildflower due to how relatable I found it. I see happiness as a quiet, gentle emotion that is inherently peaceful, stable and enduring. Emotions like euphoria, mania, excitement etc., they are extremely intense and feel good at the time, but are unsustainable and when they inevitably burn out there is only dark emptiness left behind. I think RM sees it similarly, if euphoria is a firework, peaceful happiness is a wildflower. So when you don't know who you are, when you are lost, when you are dissociating or hurting, rather than seeking euphoria and exploding like a firework, light a "flowerwork." Ground yourself in nature, lie in a meadow, throw petals into the sky and find peace and quiet beauty, with that peace will come a gentle and enduring joy.

I am sorry for your loss. I love this album! People who are just learning about BTS want RM to come out with a heavy rap influenced album. He is very versatile in his musical style. If you have listened to MONO, it has rap but its musical as well with vocals from RM. Personally, I like his versatility and other rap artists that can perform more than one genre.

Sorry for ur loss guys .. we do understand and u can take as much time as u want.. no hurry! Secondly this is actually what Rm , i would not say RM but Namjoon’s vibe is. His songs r more to listen when ur down lonely on a rainy day… not particularly sad but makes u wanna deep dive and question urself… i knew u might not be expecting to see this side of him coz u’ve only seen fast savage rapper RM so far and that is him but his persona RM (his stage presence)… so u get to see his real self in the two previous mixtapes and this solo album… His last mixtape specifically is a free therapy u don’t know u needed. Also the word wildflower is a made up word by RM saying fireworks is what BTS is very beautiful short lasting but he wants to be flowerwork instead.. something like that .. he has so many interviews explaining his all songs i hope u see them later on 💜

flowerwork is a world play between wildflower and fireworks. In korean wildflower and fireworks sound the same (wildflower - deulkkot, fireworks - bulkkotnori) while flowerwork will be deulkknotnori. RM said he desire to live like humble and tranquil WILDFLOWER rather than a flambouyant flame that quickly blows out (like a FIREWORKS) Hence Flowerworks being used as a methapor in chorus. The lyricism of this song literally cross two languages (english and korean).

I’m so sorry for your loss. Being exhausted isn’t good. I was exhausted the first time I listened to this song and album in the middle of the night. Y’all please listen to the song more but every song on the album is different! The thing about BTS and especially RM is never never anticipate what you think something is going to be. This album is brilliant it’s a masterpiece. I have blown out my speakers in my car vibing to it it’s amazing.

Flowerwork is a term RM made up in 2015 - combining flowers and firework. He said BTS is firework and he's the wildflower or wants to be like a wold flower. He always wanted to make a song called flowerwork. The album is 10 different genres so be prepared! Can't wait for RM week guys and sorry to hear about your friend passing 💙

Correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that Docskim not Pharrell was the producer on this track. His production can also be found on legendary tracks such as Outro:Tear, Lie and Hope World.

Interesting how after 4 days only 1 like for Dokskim from ARMY. Docskim can be seen playing great keyboards on the RM Tiny Concert, but I suppose saying Western Pharrell carries more gravitas than ARMY acknowledging extraordinary Korean production. Sad. BTW RM will be on Pharrell's upcoming album. It was not Pharrell on RM's.

10 songs 10 different genres... it is awesome. Because Joonie is detailed and a storyteller, thoughts connect or are brought again in another song, you really should take time to view the other videos if you want to understand his mindset. He asked us to listen to them in order. If you really want to know why and how each song was written he has several videos out on youtube/Bangtan TV, even one where he has art and items he used to write. Most of the songs were written in 2019, and one was recorded way back then. He is now Namjoon, and his stage persona is RM. He is in a better place today than then. He did a tiny desk on NPR/mv it's great too. The first song YUN is about the painter YUN, who Namjoon is inspired by, the picture on the cover is it. The stories of how YUN suffered through the war, and his art changed... he kept going...inspired Namjoon.

His first album RM is all about rap and anger from people slandering him like he said him and Suga came from the undeground hiphop rap scene free style all that so when he became a idol alot of people look down at him chosing fame over just rap and in kpop most like 90 percent dont write their lyrics etc so alot of people dont think idol is real artist but in bts case is kind of different since they were in from small company they are less strict and bigger company would hire tons of people to write songs choreography dance moves but their company value creative writing, etc the most so BTS from beginning to now write most of their songs talk about taboo topics like depression, drugs, political, injustice etc like suga/ agust d have a song "dear my friend" is about he had a friend who ruined his life by meth and suga looking at him slowly destroying himself that's why in some of suga's song you can kind of see his hatred and anger towards drugs etc and them talking about some political injustice stuff in songs where they almost got blacklisted but anyway RM's first mixtape "RM" is all about proving himself his skills very angry, nonstop rap, his second song mono is about sadness depression, life, and this mixtape is the most experimental singing etc and you slowly see he is not really effected by haters anymore he is much more calmer relax and he don't feel the need to prove his value anymore as he mentioned in his song. And he talked about he only wear black. No other color like the album RM and Mono written at his darker times and now he is slowly incorporating color in his life and clothes etc he is in a much better headspace and life now :)
