Thank you for supporting Morissette aka Asia's Phoenix aka The Pride of the Philippines aka Mariah Carey of the Philippines. She is a 5 feet 1 inch (1,51 m) powerhouse, storyteller and genre killer (Pop, Rock, Alternative Rock, Rap!, RnB, Broadway- Disney stuff). She has one of the best female voices I've ever heard. Her vocal range is 5 octaves and 4 notes. And her tone / timbre is outstanding. For new Mori reactors I recommend to react to the Asia Songfestival 2017 (2 songs). Greetings from Germany.

Subscribed! Loving your insights as well, keep them coming. I completely agree with your infidelity comments. I know for a fact that the children are the ones who suffer the most. I’m one of those children but our mom was a very strong woman and taught us to be the best person that we can be. One of the most valuable lesson that I learn from her as well was Treat people the way you want to be treated and You forgive for you, not for them. Take care!😘

Hello Amanda. New subscriber. As a person who's tried to take his own life once in his lifetime, your channel is a godsent. Mental health awareness is SO important. When i lost my dad in the summer of 2021. I was with him when he passed and the first thing i did when he passed away, was to turn into music. Put on one of my all time favorite songs from my favorite band, Evile. The song is called "In Memoriam" and it would be fantastic if you could do a reaction to it. It's a song about loss (the band wrote it to their bassist who passed away). Thank you in advance. Lots of love from Finland.

The original lyrics say "hopeless", I love how she says "homeless", it turns a song of despair into something a little more upbeat. It as though she is singing from the perspective of someone in a legitimate relationship who wants to show it more.

The U.S. is (arguably) a First-World country. We have become LAZY in what we do because we now have tools to make everything easier. It's a given that actual HARD work such as mining by using your brawn via pickaxe will lead to 'early' aging and physical breakdown over prolonged stress. BUT, people who did that for their careers were STRONG in their muscles while they lived; our people today would never be able to compete with them, except to out-live them. We get complacent with all the new inventions we have access to. But what about countries who do not count as First-World? Those people have to make do with cast-off technologies from the First-World or more likely they have to be inventive, something that we have lost due to our complacency. The people of the Philippines grow up singing but they do not all have access to voice changers and high-tech in-ear audio tech backed up by digital this-that-and-the-other. What most of their population have as far as musical technology could be considered Nineteenth-Century tech levels unless they are insanely wealthy. They would need to be rich enough to buy time in a modern studio or good enough to have a studio invite them to record. EVERYBODY sings over there (some figure out that they will never make it as vocalists but they LIVE with music like it's air, it is literally part of the atmosphere over there). These people share musicality, it's entwined throughout their culture. We don't have anything like it over here; if somebody sings to themselves while walking down the street, they are considered 'weird'. In the Philippines, EVERYBODY grows up singing, whether solo or in small groups or in big groups or as full communities, all singing together. It's weird if you DON'T sing, they think you are depressed or something. This level of practice, all day long without any sort of reprimand or funny looks, makes many of them GREAT vocalists; just the average person on their streets could definitely out-sing any of our average people in the streets. We grew up with the 'there is a time and place for that' mentality and therefore did not practice all the time like they do. We have specific settings and times for singing. They sing whenever they feel like it, and often. Growing up like that just naturally makes for far better vocalists because they each know their own voices at Doctorate levels by the time they are done with puberty.

Another beautiful reaction, Amanda. This is an odd starting place for Morissette, dubbed "Asia's Phoenix" after career reset twice after surgery for vocal cord nodules in 2014 and throat cancer in 2018. While she has an exceptional warm tone in her lower register, whose intimacy you commented on, it's her unbelievable agility in her whistle register that draws favorable comparisons to Mariah Carey. This isn't for the channel, as it doesn't have much to do with mental health, but I think you'd love: - Rise Up (A capella) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r9RzodOJlbWXoYk.html - Akin Ka Na Lang (her own song in her native Tagalog) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pph2i7SY2dO0dKs.html Incidentally, Morissette's real first name is Johane; her musician father named her for Johann Sebastian Bach. She was left alone with a karaoke machine at age 3 and blew the whole family away by singing a professional quality Regine Velasquez song, "You Are My Song". In 2018, she was surprised at her return-from-surgery concert by Regine Velasquez herself, who sang Akin Ka Na Lang back to her.

I'm late into your vlog of miss Morissette but I like your point of view of the lyrics that our moral compass must take place in that scenario. I am glad it was just a cover song but she portraid it very well for the song, I have had many affairs in my days but I never ever mess around with all of my guy friends relationship even there was a time my best buddies girlfriend strip infront of me in the bedroom because we were alone by ourselves I pretended I was asleep and moved to the couch. But all of my friends then were screwing each other and fight over a women friend they slept with and vice versa. I never had girlfriend that we were friends with I chose to look outside our circle of friends it is just betrayal in every sense of the word former girlfriend former boyfriend or not is a disaster waiting to explode.

I really feel that you should look into a few songs from the band Suicidal Tendencies. "How Will I Laugh Tomorrow... When I can't Even Smile Today"( Really, this whole album should be featured, the most important one), "One Too Many Times", "If I don't Wake up", "Alone" and on a more positive note "You Can't Bring Me Down". This band NEEDS to be featured when spotlighting Mental Health, and to not include them would be a great tragedy. This band was the only way out for an entire generation, pulling countless people back from the edge. Their music saved the lives of thousands of lost, confused, and angry young people, giving them hope that there were others out there who were just as lost and alone and hurting just as much as they were. The songs hit with such an emotional complexity that I find it hard to think of another band of that era who can even be compared with the impact this band had on numerous lives. It sounds like an exaggeration to say that, but it's not hard to find story after story after story about how much their music played in from stopping them from making the worst decision in all of their lives. Hearing your impression of them I feel would be immensely valuable for so many people. These songs need to find a way to the people who need them the most. These songs... their message is too important... This band is too important...
