Since I haven’t seen any comments on here about this yet, the lead vocalist, Garrett, had bachelors in English and Philosophy and a masters in Psychology. He’s an insanely smart and wise dude. If I remember correctly, he said this song was written after he was put into a mental hospital while on tour (i think he might have said it was in Belgium) and he wrote all the words in one go about his experience with his anxiety and about the experience that lead to him being hospitalized. They’re also a Christian band, and in some songs he cites bible verses as reference. He also had videos where he explains the meaning behind the song, lyrics, and album art. He’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and encouraged fans to talk to him after the show about their mental health. Highly encourage seeing them live and just chatting with him after a show, once all this ends. I highly recommend Panic Room (and reading the lyrics afterwards too!) much love Gibby!

Yes. That is exactly what the song is about. He wanted people to be able to paint a picture of what he was experiencing. The song is about cutting through the noise (static) in his head and feel human again. Hence the lyric, “Be still and human.”

YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS IM SO GLAAAAAAAAD Silent Planet is going to be your favorite band. HANDS. DOWN. Look at Northern Fires by them. Their lead singer Garrett I feel like is very similar to you. Hes a genuine nice guy, christian guy, and his lyrics are ABSOLUTELY insane. Youll see in almost all of their videos the lyrics are gonna be at the bottom, and youll see numbers on the lyrics referring to the footnotes in the description. This man puts insane work into the lyrics, and theyre all brilliant, passionate, and genius musicians. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

The singer was inspired to write this song during his time as a therapist at his university. During this time he was having sessions with a young lady who suffered from anorexia. This song is about that struggle and giving that disease a personification that you are trying to please. Or something like that. He usually goes into depth between songs in live shows and tries to explain each song as well as it's messages.

Their vocalist has a bachelor’s degree in English and Philosophy, and a Masters in Psychology. He has even been a therapist, where he drew inspiration from his patients to create songs. The entire album “Everything Was Sound” contains tracks where each individual song has a theme in regards to mental health. Beautifully worded with such powerful words each song is a piece of profound literature you really have to listen to the lyrics to. Silent Planet’s IQ is crazy lol
