So the car accident comes up a lot especially in the trilogy of their albums, I'm almost 100% positive one of the reasons Vessel chooses to cover his face is because the scars from a car accident.

Yes exactly thank you! I hear multiple references in ST songs. It’s very literal. “Passenger” is said many times . “Breaking bones” and other talk suggestions relating to a car accident.
