Ahmad, take note of that clever line on Kanye's verse that's always been a favourite of mine: "The way the beat rocks, new version of Pete Rock But for that Benz, I get CL love" Reference to the Mercedes CL, and Pete Rock and CL Smooth - a producer/rapper duo with a classic album. Slum Village (at that time) was T3 and Elzhi, with production from BR Gunna (Black Milk and Young RJ). Dilla left the group years prior. Pretty sure Kanye made the "Selfish" beat. You need to react to more Elzhi songs. He's one of the greatest lyricists of all time.
