NJ, do you know she was sick with pneumonia. Yes, the show has to go on. She did it well. Next songs from her "Lean on me" immortal song 2 (she nailed the song) a tribute to Michael Bolton and "I have nothing" DMC festive (she sing high note and killed the song).

In the days leading up to this performance she had been hospitalized with pneomonia which she often suffers,after beating cancer when she was 20 years old. The doctors had forbidden her to sing but she didn't want to disappoint the audience because she NOT sing for fame but to comfort people who are going through difficult times. Imagine if she was 100%. She is a gift from God.

Can you believe it? She has suffering with pneumonia when this performance. . But it's true. .!!(She suffered from pneumonia about eight times between 2016 and 2018).. . and she slayed it legendary. . .she is amazing. . !!!

So hyang is incredibly amazing❤️❤️ she’s not the best but awesome enough to drop our jaws. Many people says that her voice is irritating specially her high notes but for me it’s freaking heaven. I’ve never seen any singer who can hit such notes sooooooo clean and the level of eargasm ughhhh!!

I suspected that I would get to know many fantastic artists on this channel, who were completely unknown to me until now. With Sohyang, this has absolutely happened. I saw Shane Filan from 'Westlife' in the video and his enthusiasm is a great compliment. A great response from you, NJ.

Great Reaction NJ:-) There is none better at arranging music or delivering the songs message with emotion! She earns her living by singing but will not sell out for money, she sings for those who suffer and to Praise God! She turns down the big Companies respectfully ( most recently Sony) because she needs time for Charities and singing in Churches around the World( in 66 countries so far) such a humble and honest Lady. Yet she has many Haters, who attack her often, sad but true! Anyway I suggest , Lean on Me! This is a talent show she appeared on . This night was a tribute to Micheal Bolton, songs he has written or made Famous! Some great Performance given by all but she Won the Night and he later asked her to join him on his tour of Korea(She accepted but only for one show as she had Commitments) Again she rearranged this song and makes a Great Song and makes it better! I use to have a top ten with this Ladies songs but Gave Up , just to many Masterpieces to pick any order let alone just ten! She also does some Rap in, Day, Day. Some rock in, Mona Lisa, a little darker heavy Rock in, It’s Only My World. Jazz , with the old standard, Misty( fantastic) or a jazzy feeling song in one she wrote herself, Dream( her nickname amongst Family and Friends is - Dreamer), lots of Gospel, Folk,a little Blues and RandB! You are so on target for this reaction. You are absolutely right about this cover would be epic. It's such a masterpiece. Also agree that we should take our time in appreciating Sohyang's music. As you said, this is something that comes only once in a long while. Her rendition of "You Raise Me Up" isn't meant for the ears, but the soul. We feel as if our spirit can be purified through her voice so that we come closer to Heavens.

If i watch Sohyang, i remember in november 2017 that there were some people say that Dimash Kudaibergen is Sohyang male version.......a lot is agree about that. To beat So Hyang, maybe you got to go to the only one who has a chance, and that's Dimash!! Of the females, all around, she is the best. Another Korean who is a big KPOP star is "AILEE' and she probably sings the best cover of Whitney's cover of "I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU"!! Her version will blow you away!! One more note, Dimash and So Hyang are "EARTH ANGELS"!! Showing up at this time to soothe the world's souls and they are doing a good job of it. So Hyang did have pneumonia when she sang this. She is now 43 and when she was 20-21 she had ovarian and uterine cancer. Getting well she contracted Hepatitis B from bad needles and has to put up with bouts of pneumonia!! Thanking the Lord for the cure she is a devout Christian. She does not sing for money or fame. She sings for the heart, soul, and comfort of the people. SONY has tried to sign her for over 15 years, nope!!!! Her husband is a musician and fully supports her. She can re-arrange a song to her liking like "ARIRANG ALONE"!! In the first half she proves she is an earth angel, second half off goes the roof!! Please do check out Ailee's version of I Will Always Love You!! It's fantastic!!
