"QUAND C’EST" means "when is it... (your turn)" and it is pronounced in French just like "CANCER". A brilliant words game typical of his lyrical genious.

Cancer has an added 'r' in its pronunciation, but you can barely hear the difference when someone sings. It is excellent writing indeed

I'd perhaps write the pronunciation as... 'Coh-seh' More or less? Ugh all those vowels don't exist in English lol

A few months ago i was at a live performance of him in belgium. He had 5 moving acreens on big mechanical arms moving around the podium to display unique visuals accompanying his songs. Then this song started. He stood alone in the middle. The lights were off and the 5 screens a stark white. They moved to create a sort of claustrophobic room foor stromae, close to him and "encompassing him". Black tendrils creeping in from the corners and the screen and Stromae began to kneel and make himself small while he kept singing and the screens began closing him. Surreal and impactfull

Cancer = the crab. Quand C'est and Cancer are said the same in French. His movements are like the crab. It's brilliant and I watch it often despite watching my lovely Mum die if cancer. Only Stromae can do this. Something you want to watch despite the topic. Thanks for your reaction.

I personally can't really watch the video. I used to be mildly okay with this song before, but my aunt is at her fourth or fifth relapse and might not make it this time around. But I'm glad that it's helping other people at least. Sending hugs

Stromae is not from Belgium who speaks french , Stromae is from Belgium and they speak french , i think reactions for stromae videos getting better noww but still long way to go for people to get use a real genious and a true Artist in our music rather than your everyday music videos , Stromae is too advanced for this world of music.

We do have 3 official languages in fact, most Belgians are speaking Dutch/Flemish. His name Paul Van Haver is a Dutch/Flemish name btw.
