@@rogerdaly6326I saw them live on this tour and they were incredible! They tied some pretty deep videos and had some stage actors with theatrics during certain songs that kept us riveted in the crowd. Of course their very last concert some was Crime of the Century after coming back for two encores . That was a night that no one wanted it to end. I’m so glad that the band lived on for years after Roger left.

As a long-time Supertramp fan who'd been seriously underwhelmed by their last effort with Roger Hodgson ("Famous Last Words..."), I felt that the album THIS track came from - Brother, Where You Bound? - was a HUGE improvement. Rick Davies didn't so much bring the group back to something recognizable AS Supertramp, though - he added more of his jazzy flourishes and produced something new and engaging. To my ear, anyway. He also did bring back some of their proggy touch, including the longest track Supertramp ever recorded - the title track.

You guys don't know "Little Feat" do you? Their dbl live album "Waiting For Columbus" is one of the best live albums anyone has ever done. I think one song in particular will tell you who these guys are. "Spanish Moon" has a great story to tell and some of the best horns you could ever hope for. The drum solo intro to "Fat Man In The Bathtub" is simply a killer, guitar work in "I've Been Down" just rocks, the piano work and storytelling in "Dixie Chicken" are unmatchable. The brass section from "Tower of Power' guest performs on this album and it is just loaded with amazing music. I would be greatly gratified to see you react to them, they are right up your alley, your 'cup o' tea" if you will. Love you guys, long time sub. Keep on rockin'. PS I love Supertramp as much as anybody ever has. My era.

Thank you for reviewing this song. This was their comeback album when we thought they were breaking up after losing their other lead singer. Rick Davies showed that the band will live on without Roger Hodgson. I went to this concert in Frankfurt Germany and was mesmerized by their musicianship and the video backdrop that they showed. As the concert played on, I didn’t realize how many famous tracks that they had and it was amazing to hear the evolution of their music. If you want to hear tracks from this album that tells a story, listen to Better days and Brother Where You Bound. The world was looking to hope and a future and these tracks shed light on that. Plus David Gilmour plays a signature guitar riff on brother where you bound and you won’t mistake it

I hope you guys can check out some of their solo stuff as well! Roger Hodgson has several greats like "Jeopardy" and "Showdown" that have hints of Supertramp but definitely show off what he can do by himself. Highly recommended!

I’ll say it again Roger Hodgson went solo after superannuation. I can only remember this one song of God but that’s because it was on every fifteen minutes on mtv in the mid eighties. The name of the song is Had a Dream (Sleeping With the Enemy) one of my favorite songs.

Please try Rudy by Supertramp! The Live in Paris version is awesome. You picked the best song off this record in Cannonball, IMO. Really cool groove.

This was the first album / single after Roger Hodgson left the group; thinking about it retrospectively - this song MAY be about Roger actually. This album and Roger's first solo album are their best efforts after he left.
