Thank you for reading the comments and reacting to this. The one you listened to first was chopped up and very badly edited. I remember when this song dropped. Bobby and Tommy DeBarge left to put out their younger siblings to form the group DeBarge with the younger brother El at lead. Phil Ingram is the younger brother of James Ingram (the second singer in Quincy Jones's" Secret Garden" song) Tommy and El sound so much alike that they are damn near interchangeable vocally. Switch was an offshoot of Barry White's orchestra. P.S. Richboy sampled this for "Throw Some D's On It"

I looked at the time counter for that first reaction....I was like...nope. I already knew...LOL. There are so many jewels in the 12-inch versions of songs from this time period....like this song, Cameo's "Why Have I Lost You", SOS Band "Just Be Good To Me", Prince's "1999", "When Doves Cry", and "Erotic City"....etc ...but this song here? Whoever edited the shorter version botched it within an inch of its life, and took out the heart of the song in the process. Thank you for reviewing the REAL version of this song....we appreciate that.
