I would love to see you react to Marjorie. It's not about a romantic relationship. It's a song she wrote about her late grandmother, and the most beautiful and haunting vocal recording of her grandmother is on the track and it's chilling. If that one doesn't absolutely destroy you then nothing will. It's so beautiful to hear the impact she had on Taylor's life and as a parent I think it will gut you in the best way.

Thank you for your genuine reaction to this gorgeous song and both of their fabulous voices. I hope you continue down the Taylor Swift rabbit hole. I guarantee you will find all sorts of other genres. She has explored and just will continue to be amazed by her talent, and her kindness and genuineness. She has continued to be like the girl next-door in many ways, and that she genuinely caresand yes, she does very generously share her emotions and her talents…. She is a normal, run-of-the-mill, artistic genius. I have been a swiftie since 2009 (I'm 60), and I still DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW SOMEONE IS THIS TALENTED. You MUST do "All Too Well" the short film, and realize that she wrote AND DIRECTED the film. Also, her voice is beautiful but don't let that distract you from the genius lyrics. And btw, to people who say "she writes about relationships"....what do male artists write about??? "Hot for Teacher" by Van Halen was about world peace??

I agree about All Too Well... but he should see the Original she performed live and made the song go viral... there are two live versions and one she is crying. Then watch the All Too Well Taylor’s Version Short Film. To me some of it does not flow as well (for example she is looking at pictures of him as a little kid and then he is throwing a fit and his keys but why?) but with the video it works. I’ve been a Swifty from the beginning and I’ll be 50 next year. I have realized that as I believe, God will turn our persecution’s into Blessings. He gave this young woman an amazing voice but she has always had to keep pushing the mountain. So Scooter Brain actually got her a Blessing out of his nastiness. I’m re-recording her albums, she has a whole new generation of fans. She is just such a beautiful Soul!!

Please do “all too well 10 minute version” -arguably one of the best songs she’s ever written. It was originally released on her album red and was never actually a single but fans were always obsessed with it. At some point she mentioned in an interview that the original version was actually ten minutes and that it was cut down for the record so fans hounded her for years for the longer version and boy, it DOES NOT disappoint. It’s about her relationship with Jake gyllanhal. There’s a short film that she created just for this song but I would recommend just watching the lyrics video the first time you listen to the song so you can fully digest those !!! You were in tears, relating to this song. I think that's what artists are going for-making you nod, "YES", and perhaps shed a tear or two. They don't just want an aural pleasure-they want you to feel it to your soul. CLEARLY this had that effect on you. This is my favorite song on this album. I never thought I'd ever listen to a Taylor Swift album, much less love every single freaking song on one. But she got me with this album. One of my all time favorite albums. What is amazing about this song is this album Folklore was written and recorded during the pandemic when we were shut down. The recording studio where Taylor was is Long Pond Studio in the Hudson Valley in New York. The Long Pond Studio is owned by Aaron Dessner who is on the piano in this song and is one of her producers.

I absolutely love what you said about how Taylor feels like she’s so real and just everybody’s friend because THAT is the absolute bottom line of why she has the community she does. Beyond her incredible performances, beyond her literally mind blowing storytelling, she truly connects with her fans and it’s not just that WE feel that way, she does too. She’s said it so many times, that her fans truly know her and she feels like she knows us. It’s a relationship that she values above any other part of her career and she shows it. Us Swifties are a really loving and welcoming bunch and it’s a community that I’m proud to be part of. I said it last time and I’ll say it again; you’re one of my favorite reaction channels and Taylor is my absolute favorite artist so I hope you continue this journey and take us along. 💜

The album version with Bon Iver is the best version of this song. UPDATE!!!!! So sorry, I was in a hurray when I saw this, this morning and I did not realize Bon Iver was on here. This was raw emotional, but I love the studio version too! It is so related like you just said. The back and forth of how each saw the problems and then how you realize that there was beauty but it was mostly a toxic relationship. If you don’t have the communications and compromise on both sides, then it will rip apart! I am now a very huge fan of yours. I have subscribed. Keep delving into Taylor. She can do fun and silly to tears ricochet..... look for a live Eras Tour version. For that matter I will find out when my friend is live streaming from her concert and let you know an approximate time or see if he can record that part. The way she performs that live!!! Heartbreaking! Requesting Getaway Car, I knew you were trouble, Wildest Dreams and Blank Space and Mastermind!

Wow! I hate to admit it, but I’ve become addicted to your first few Swift reactions! I’m a die hard ambient, progressive rock long time musician. Now you have me humming to Taylor all the time! And … I’m a big softy when it comes to any music that gives me an emotional reaction. Stop making me cry 😂! In a world so divided, this confident woman is such a bright beacon of what is good in the world! Good job.

The same thing happened to me when I gave Midnights a try, never thought I would love this woman and her music sooooo much. I am a Swifty right now and can't get over the fact I could not get tickets to see her live next June in Madrid, where I live (the demand for tickets was 10 times bigger than the tickets available). Seeing you get emotional and cry with Taylor's music makes me cry and happy and connected to you at the same time. I guess now you and me both know what being a Swifty was all about. Thank you for these reactions, I will keep watching them and you have all my loyalty from now on. Peace and love all the way from Spain to you and all your subscribers ❤

Thank you for this great reaction to this beautiful song. Taylor wrote her "Folklore" album during the early part of the pandemic in 2020. Justin did his part from his studio. Taylor, Aaron and Jack all got together to record The Long Pond Sessions also during quarantine. Aaron and Jack both had worked with Taylor remotely but had not met each other until they did the sessions. Jack has worked with Taylor since her 2014 "1989" album.

It’s called Evermore. It’s an absolutely stunning song and her live performance is one or my favorites, but it’s done solo so you miss out on Bon Iver’s vocals if you only watch the live. I think you should react to the Eras Tour Movie (when you can) so you can get a grasp of how wide-ranging her music really is. I’m so excited to watch you go on this journey!! "The second Taylor started singing, I smiled" --> And that's really it. There's something so HUMAN in the emotions she translates through her songs, and they just make me happy to listen to. At least emotional, but quite often happy. It''s the gold standard for music, for me, and you encapsulated it with just that one sentence. And if really want to "get attached to her more" Lol, then you really *should* react to "Miss Americana".

And this was filmed in late September 2020- Aaron Desner (playing piano on this song) and Jack Antonoff (playing guitar or maybe bass here), were collaborators for Taylor's first pandemic album, Folklore. They collaborated virtually to create the album and this was the first time they were all 3 together for recording live versions of each song for Disney+'s Long Pond Sessions. Bon Iver is Justin Vernon's stage name, he was friends with Aaron and Taylor hoped he would sing on this song but she was terrified to ask as she was a big fan and nervous he would say no. She nudged Aaron by asking who he thought would be a good male vocalist for this song, and he suggested Justin, then set it up and Justin wrote the "so step right out..." part of the song. Justin lives in Wisconsin, and wasn't able to join the others in upstate New York for filming, so Disney+ had a crew go to him for this song. Taylor, Jack and Aaron quarantined separately for a week before gathering at Long Pond. During the night after they finished recording all the live versions of the songs from Folklore, Taylor and Aaron continure collaborating to make her second pandemic album, Evermore, which they finished very quickly and it came out in December 2020. She wrote "Tis the Damn Season" from Evermore while drunk the night of the filming!

There are a couple song I think you will most likley love: "champagne problems" and "tolerate it" from the album evermore. i can absolutely relate to what you're saying about "being on the outside looking in and being on the inside looking out." i heard her radio singles since 2006, liked her music but avoided listening to her. back then, i was immature and tried to avoid "popular"/trending things, people or movies/shows. finally in 2021 at 33 yrs old, i decided to give her discography a chance and i can't believe i wasted all that time! she brings so much to the table. the people who think she only writes about exes or "all her music sounds the same" are really losing out. it's so great seeing people give her a chance.
