My eyes were sweating the first time I listened to Teddy. Seriously, he just pulls all sorts of emotions from your heart. His voice is so beautiful, thank you for such a great reaction. It was affecting you and you let it happen. At other times in the song you let the music speak for itself, you let Teddy sing and your comments added a lot too. Reactions like yours are always appreciated.

Bonnie Raitt recorded this first. 1991. She’s someone you need to listen to. I would do “Love Has No Pride” first. Her performance is so emotional yet controlled. Peace.

Bonnie Raitt sang it back in 1991. The thing about it was that Bonnie only did one take of the song because she wanted it to be an authentic emotion of the song. And well, it worked. She’s well known for singing it. The idea for the song came to Reid (song writer) while reading an article about a man arrested for getting drunk and shooting at his girlfriend's car. The judge asked him if he had learned anything, to which he replied, "I learned, Your Honor, that you can't make a woman love you if she don't."

I have to say this is the best cover of this song in a long time. Teddy gives it some soul as it should be. You all know that soul that makes a tear drop and it loses its grip on your eye lash and drops to your cheek. That kind of soul

This is the song that got me hooked on Teddy. I had to look up all his covers he was recording and then his own music with his band. Fell in love with his voice from the first note! He is now out on tour with The Zac Brown Band! He is finally making it big! 🙂🙂💖💖💖

Dog, I discovered Teddy the same way you did, and like everybody else I was blown away. I encourage you to go all the way down the rabbit hole of his covers. He just released his first album recently. We need to support him! Also, I made a promise to myself that the first concert I would go to post-Covid would be Teddy Swims. Trying to get there ASAP!

I cry every time I hear this song. The first time I heard teddy sing this song I was blown away!! What a powerful voice! I’ve only heard him do covers but I’m sure he has his own music. He does Chris Stapleton “Tennessee whiskey” and hall and oates “Sara smile with Alan Stone

I love this. I can’t help but have “sweaty eyes”, as he expresses real feelings 😢. Best male version I’ve heard. His daddy is a Georgia preacher, so Teddy grew up in the church - sometimes I think that comes through. He has an original song /video: “Burning Bed”. That’s Incredible, a treat as he usually does covers. Thanks for playing!

Teddy and band hit KZfaq almost two years ago. They signed with Warner and were in Cali one week then covid. They are from Atlanta. Covid had put things on hold, probably why there are so many covers. Released original music this past may. I recommend: Tennessee Whiskey Rock With You Somebody to Love (little bonus at the end) Use Me Pretty Wings Let me Love You Sarah Smile Teddy and Allen Stone Dive deep into the pool called Teddy

Loooove this song 🎶. Written by 2 amazing Nashville songwriters... Allen Shamblin and Mike Reid. They have a ton of hits. Teddy sings it beautifully. Bonnie Raitt was first and hers is spectacular too!

He got alot of really good covers And alot of people are probably gonna recommend most of them. But im gonna recommend a song that might not get recommended but its a really good one... Teddy swims & Allen stone doing the cover of sara smile. This was the the first song i heard from teddy swims and it made me look him up and i found i cant make you love me. And that was the second song i heard from him and i been listening to him more or less every day since that...

He is good. The only other person I've heard sing this was a woman. I can't remember who. My mind tells me it was Bette Midler, or Kim Carnes(not sure of the spelling), but I could be way off. I do know it was from their era. The older I get, the more scatterbrained I get. It's a beautiful and very sad song.
