Such a hauntingly beautiful song. Ray Manzarak's piano creates such a mood, complimenting Jim Morrison's crooner side. My favorite song from this masterpiece debut album.

The most beautiful looking man ever! And his voice? Wow! Even though he died when i was 8. He became more popular when I was a teen because of a book written about him. NO ONE GETS OUT HERE ALIVE. he was definitely a bad boy. Why we love him. he was one of a kind. Movie about him.. The Doors.. 1990? Val Kilmer really nailed him in that movie too.

Kilmer only nailed the bad side, but that's ok for me. That's the entertaining part. What I don't like about the movie is that it portrays the other three Doors as goofy dweebs. They were not! They were good musicians, imaginative and intelligent. Each had their own unique style, and combined those styles to create The Doors' collective style. They were a genre of their own. I don't consider them to be "a part of the 60s." I think of them as running parallel with the 60s. Their music wasn't about flowers and beads and love and peace. It explored the dark side of the human psyche. I find it therapeutic.

By now you know that he is the lead singer and his name is Jim Morrison. I’m 63 years old and grew up listening to classic rock and the Doors were one of my favorite bands. I am as straight as they come, but even I can recognize that he is one handsome dude.

I own every album of The Doors , their music is great and completely unique. A few songs of The Doors I would recommend to anyone is L.A. Woman , Roadhouse Blues , Break On Through , Five To One , Waiting For The Sun , Soul Kitchen , Spanish Caravan , Riders On The Storm but then they got some songs with some names you especially might like if you liked how Jim Morrison was looking at you on that cover those songs are called Love Her Madly , Light My Fire , Love Me Two Times, Hello I Love You , Touch Me , and Back Door Man

My favorite Doors song of all time is “Not to Touch the Earth” That track doesn’t get nearly enough reactions to it. Studio recording is best for that track. I’d also recommend The Doors “Break on Through” There’s a great old promotional music video with frontman Jim Morrison on video in all his sexy rockstar glory. I’m sure you’d like that one too 😉
