It's also very rare to see a musician including their partner in their love song video since they rarely go for a steady relationship and their lyrics are produced by writers working on their label. Wonderful song. I really really like this. I’m 52 and an English Lit/philosophy major. He has a gift with his words and reaching the youth. We need him. We need his voice. Not always my style (love this one) but I listen because he has something Real to say. Rare today.

That is his mom and dad. He's had a great example set before him for love and how it takes work and dedication. He shares in a short that he made yesterday about him and Nova's life in the ups and downs they've had, but they've always stuck it through with each other. You can tell that's his dad because they look just alike

This song made it to NUMBER 2 on the Billboard Pop charts, second only to the Christmas Queen herself, Ms. Mariah Carey! Number TWO!! He put something up on his community page about it (yesterday, I think?) Maybe it's a YT Short. And they did it all without a label behind them! I really enjoyed watching your reaction. I love the fact that you can plainly see the love they have for each other while showing his vulnerable side. After I watched this video I played it for my fiance, as he was watching & listening he just looked at me then said absolutely. We've been together for almost 20 yrs now although we did break up for a lil while, we did get back together. I love this song. He called it Ghost, I call it Nova's song & ever since I heard it, it plays in my head all the time. It makes me smile, makes me happy, brings tears to my eyes... so what if there's no bars in it. It's still beautiful & shows his love for Nova & hers for him. As for his "haters", who cares. I don't know about other dudes. But the way she looks at Tom is what keeps me going. When I'm on the edge at my lowest or in a spot where I'm tired and just want to give up. My wife can look at me with that look. It instantly feels me up gives me the drive and energy to overcome. That's the power of a woman that loves and trusts you completely. I have the 2 albums so I have heard the song and was so excited that this is the one he made a video for. Your a year older than me Van so we grew up on a lot of the same music. It was a damn good era of music. 80s music is like good pharma drug. Hell better. The reaction videos to this song make me smile. The guys in most of them end up getting a little melty and start going on about their wives. It says something that most of the men succeeding are happily settled with their ladies. Very few men with the "spark" are really alone. We do give each other such a good thing. I wish Tom knew just how good his singing voice really is - he's voiced many times he is not a "lead" singer but I disagree, I love is singing voice - my favourite part of his music is the chorus except Ghost - that's my fav song of all :)

Tom and Nova have been friends for 15 years and a couple for 6. They came from broke and had nothing in a shit hole apartment and Tom was using drugs and alcohol (not sure about Novs) So Nova stood by him while getting sober or they got sober together. So when you come from the bottom and struggling together to build something GREAT together.. that’s REAL LOVE. People will hate on this cause they are jealous of what they have but the majority of the comments are people LOVING this song and this side of Tom! They are also loving the song cause it reminds them of their partner and what they feel for them and even people who lost someone and now they are just a “ghost” to them. Either way this song might just be Toms biggest song believe it or not. It hit #1 on the Pop charts which has never happened for an independent artist and it’s getting played on the radio which has never happened to a completely independent artist (and Toms never had his songs played on the radio period). I think he should do more songs like this in the future every now and then. It’s ok to be vulnerable.. that’s the side that connects people the most. ❤❤❤

I can't imagine losing a child. My husband died last December and Van has been a blessing. So has Tom MacDonald AND Home Free, the acapella group. They've all helped me get through that first Christmas and this whole year. Remember that as long as you live, the people you loved live. They're in your memory, your mind, and your heart as much as they were ever in your arms.
