You are so much fun to watch when you're onto something you find truly incredible. I'm not an authority on this matter, but as I understand it, this song, Opera 2, was written specifically for Vitas. It seems he has been performing this piece for years now, it is his "Signature" piece. I've been told that Mr. Vitas was not pleased when some unknown, cocky, young upstart, went on a TV talent show and did a better job with it. In my opinion, Dimash has a more impressive range.

But if you look closely at his throat, there's no movement. Hence that leads me to believe that it's a recording and not live.

pre recorded lip synced performance (same exact audio from the video) but he DID sing the original track and IS in fact an extremely talented vocalist. Just a shame he does the usual pop star thing and lip syncs live. (Not always. Just all the big performances)
