As incredible as this one is, it’s my 2nd favorite Voctave Christmas cover. #1 is Mary Did You Know featuring the writer of the song. I hope you will get to that one! ❤

I LOVE this version... it might be my favorite of this carol! Great reaction! Speaking about headphones... you HAVE to use headphones for nuanced music... vocal, instrumental, or both. If you have truly superb (expensive) speakers, that's one thing. But I recommend over ear (vs. on ear or ear buds) headphones... GOOD ones... for doing serious listening. Whoever told you might damage your ears is a "worry-wort." Just don't blast your eardrums to Kingdom Come. You will LOVE the Voctave rabbit hole. I think they are the best vocal choir in existence. They are a LITTLE different than smaller a cappella groups like PTX, Home Free and VoicePlay... because they typically use 11 voices rather than 4 or 5. For Voctave, many consider them as "Disney Specialists" and/or "Christmas Specialists." I think some of their other stuff is equally amazing. Try The Andrews Sisters Medley, or Somewhere Over the Rainbow, or Impossible Dream. They will have your jaw on the floor!

This is my favorite Voctave Christmas track! Hearing them sing this live in concert was such an incredible experience. I highly recommend reacting to their rendition of "Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame" (mix of "Carol of the Bells" and "The Bells of Notre Dame" from Disney's Hunchback). "The Christmas Song", "O Holy Night" are amazing too. Dont forget "Grown Up Christmas List" and "Go Tell It On The Mountain" (audio only) for exceptional solos from Chrystal Johnson.

Kevin, such a great heartfelt reaction! #Voctave truly are perfection when it comes to pure vocal mastery. I could see/feel you getting caught up in their dynamics and the arrangement, the layering, the sweetness of BGVs, and how EJ sung this with absolute awe and reverence - it was worshipful - and the beautiful church setting was the icing on the cake!!! Keep in mind, they are only a part-time group! Please, PLEASE, more Voctave at Christmas (and throughout the year!); they have so many that will make you laugh, smile with true joy and also move you to tears. Mary, Did You Know feat. Mark Lowry (the lyricist) - will have you gob-smacked All Is Well Where Are You Christmas - innocence personified The Christmas Song The Nutcracker Medley - their latest You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch Carol of the Bells/Bells of Notre Dame medley, and so many more!

Very nice reaction! Voctave's entire Christmas repertoire is stunning - you can't go wrong with any of them. Please react to "Where Are You, Christmas?" (make sure to have some tissue handy, because this one will punch you square in the feels!)

I've missed out your first reaction to Voctave, so I don't know if you're aware that the male soloist here is EJ Cardona, big brother of Omar. He has also sung with VoicePlay a couple of times, in Go The Distance and in I Can't Make You Love Me. His wife is a member of The American Sirens who guest Geoff Castellucci in his Christmas song Mele Kalikimaka. Don't know if you plan to add that one to your Christmas list.
