First Time Hosting Subscribers in Riga Latvia 🇱🇻
By far one of the best parts of having a KZfaq channel, is the new relationships that you develop on the journey.
Join me with Wayne, Natalie and Kieron as we explore the city of Riga in Latvia.
The Old Town, the Resort Beaches, the Famous Indoor Market, The Locals, the Bars and of course the moonshine, we did not stop and crammed in as much we could in the fabulous city of Riga in Latvia.
The best part is that three subscribers are now friends and I look forward to seeing them all again soon on our Journeys.

Another great video Justin I really enjoyed it. These videos are good fun I enjoy seeing how other British exiles live. I have been 10 years in rural Czech Republic usually people only visit Prague but of course there is so much more to any country than just the capital. I look forward to the next installment. Mark

Hello, Justin! Thanks for another nice & sweet videó about my/our Riga ❤ Our son's are the same age ;) P. S. Jūrmala, isn't coast of Riga..We have a lot of beaches in Riga, on both coast of river Daugava :) Like 'Daugavgríva' or 'Vecàķi' etc.

Посмотрел, сходил в магазин, купил чёрный хлеб, шпроты, солёный огурец и водки бутылку. Сейчас смотрю заново, выпиваю по сантиметру закусывая правильными бутиками. Люблю Ригу , очень вкустнвй город. Спасибо огромное за отличное видео. 🇱🇻👍 Давайте как нибудь в Баку поедем . Я вам покажу город и места где отлично можно выпить и закусывать аутентичную Бакинскую кухню.

i can't come to Riga anytime soon but otherwise would definitely come say hi. Btw as you're also a Viktor Tsoi fan, the tribute band are playing in Riga on the 11th of June at the Arena Riga at Skanstes street, 21. Recommend going there if u have the spare time or funds!

such a delight to see Riga after quite time..The market( i believe old aircraft hangers and before zeppelins ? ) as changed alot. Is the bus and coach station next door still there?,,keep up the good work,Justin, showing the real people .not the w*nkers in charge..

Food in Latvia is amazing. Whenever I bring my husband to Latvia he is always amazed that there are little cafes everywhere! If you go to local B&Q (Depo) even there you can have a proper lunch.

Justin! I love how you passionately pronounce, "Your-mal-AH!" You should patent it as your own. :) It is so close in pronunciation but has "Justin's" unique (unikal) touch to it! Valmieramuiza has many varieties of delicious beers is one of my favorites too! NO ONE could do a better tour of the brewery than you!

@@J.E.E Hmmm, I'm not into vodka really, HOWEVER one of the sweetest and smoothest vodkas I've ever tried was made on birch buds (It was made in Ukraine, I guess), so it makes sense, if the name is of any indication here. And British isles also have a lot to offer, like Poteen made in Wales by "Celtic Spirit" is something special, but also pretty expensive, as far as I know.

Hi Greg, It is called Samogon... You can't miss it, as it is the only one. You can find it in the Fish Pavilion the one closest to the river and the main road. Happy you enjoyed the video and thanks for the comment.

I would love to take that shot with you some day. The fish doesnt really go with White bread(except salmon) Also I saw little onion over there. About moonshine, that ones weak, usually we do around 55-60° You mush go to Latgale and visit moonshine museum(Šmakovkas muzejs) there are two if I remember corectly, one was in Daugavpils other around Viļāni(?).

Love your videos, love your interaction with Latvians, but there is one thing that i do hate! And that's, you all the time talk about soviet union. I understand, for you it's a history and some facts, but for most of Latvians that was a very dark time, so much pain and suffering. It would be nice if you stop it, we know our history and every one who wants to learn about our history can do it very easily, you don't need to rub it in our eyes and remind us all the time, that's something we don't want to remember.

Thank you mate for your feedback it is highly appreciated. I understand that it was a hard time, but the truth is that Latvian History is very sad considering it has always been ruled by not only the Soviets, the German Landlords, that did not allow Latvians in the city of Riga... and by no means am I glorifying it, however World. War 2 and the cold War are moments in history that I find fascinating. Obviously it is impossible to make videos that can satisfy everyone all the time, bit I think history is important to remember when looking forward. In video about Latvia, at least choose music in latvian language. Some foreigners still confuses us, as part of rus territory. Which is very offending.

Hi Sanita, I always use street buskers in my videos and the fact is that most buskers in Riga sing in Russian. No intention to offend just the reality of the way things are If I find a Latvian busker, which I have tried, I will for sure use their music too Thank you for watching and commenting 👌👍
