Lamb, I must give you a standing ovation for your thoughtfulness, understanding and overall personality as a man who is a husband... Many men have married someone from a different cultural background and have handled it so poorly - never trying to even give an inch of respect to their wife's culture and life enjoyments and you do it so well- as you said you don't understand yet you show up and gladly participate and I think in a world where a lot of men don't do that for their wives- that is a great personality trait that you have. I know sooooo many men outside of the US that came here and made their wives feel so insignificant because it wasn't what they grew up with and they never tried...
