Welcome to Poland everybody! This is our first experience here in this country and we are going to spend 48 hours in Warsaw to kick off this series.
After a few delays we finally arrived in Warsaw, so we checked into our hotel and headed out to the old town to get some Polish dumplings and traditional polish potatoe pancakes to end our first night.
The next day we headed out into the old town and saw
- Old Town Square
- Warsaw Castle
- University Campus of Warsaw library viewpoint
We then went up the bell tower in castle square which is a great view point to see the city. For lunch we headed out to the Koszyki Covered Market.
In the afternoon we headed out to The largest park in Warsaw Lazienki Krolewskie and went on a little water gondola ride.
To end our time in Warsaw we went out to the Nocny markets.
Where we are staying: Chopin Boutique B&B fave.co/337vlFT
Where we get our incredible music from: share.mscbd.fm/flyingthenest (--- Great music for Travel Vlogs & KZfaq music for your videos)

Japan loves Poland. Poland is a beautiful country. Japan has played Chopin songs for over 100 years. Poland is great. In 1920 and 1922, Japan rescued 765 Polish orphans in Siberia. Poland asked Japan to rescue a Polish orphan in Siberia. Japan promised to rescue immediately. The smallest orphaned child was 2 years old. The child was crying near the dead mother. The Japanese rescued the orphan immediately. The child told the dead mother "Goodbye Mom". Japan rescued a total of 765 Polish orphans.Japan sent orphans to Japan for treatment.Orphans ate delicious and warm meals every day. All Polish orphans have recovered. Almost all Japanese donated money to save orphans. On the day of return, all 765 Polish orphans returned to Poland safely. In 2018, an elementary school commemorating this was completed in Warsaw. Japan loves Poland. God bless Poland.

Pozdrawiam z Polski. Many Poles know the history of Polish orphans rescued by the Japanese and very much appreciate what the Japanese did for these orphans. The Polish embassy in Tokyo supports Japanese orphans by helping them participate in the World Championships of Children from Orphanages organized every year in Warsaw, Poland. Poles like Japan very much. Greetings from Poland.

The story of how the Poles restored Warsaw after the Nazis flattened it is amazing. Using historic paintings, drawings, photographs, and tiny fragments saved from the ruins and secretly stashed away in underground archives, they had a pretty good idea of what the place had looked like. So they started the enormous effort of restoration.....you've been there, so you can see what a brilliant job they did. Not only Warsaw, but Wrocław, Gdańsk, parts of Poznań and other Polish cities were similarly restored. The only major city not to have been virtually flattened was Kraków. My girlfriend is Polish, so we often visit Poland and she sometimes buys a type of cream cheese only available there to make delicious Polish cheesecake. Our German friends think it's wonderful, too! Thanks for the video (and the Romanian series) - looking forward to more! Cheers, Keith (Brit in Berlin).

No, no no, you are wrong. There are 2 mermaid monuments in Warsaw - the first one is this in Stare Miasto and the second one - at the Vistula river bank. And the first one has the same face for ages :) The second one is the sculpture made before the 2 WWW, and is the copy of Krystyna Krahelska, young artist and painter, who, during the war became the member of Polish Home Army (the underground resistance). She became the paramedic during the Warsaw Uprasing in 1944 and was killed by Germans in the 1st day of it...

I’ve always seen Warsaw at the bottom of the list with places to come and visit, but now I live here and I appreciate all the effort which previous generations made to re-build the city. There is so much history in the city of people that never gave up. These days city is modern, positive and creative. I used to live in Krakow. Also worth to see :)

That's so nice to hear that 🙂 I must admit when we are in Western countries there are people who look down on us or have some prejudice. As a result a lot of Poles lose their self confidence and don't appreciate where they come from.

@maritkaa007
@maritkaa007 2 жыл бұрын
@@animetwilight75 We have been seen as poorer and less developed. The root cause are the events after the world war II: - Poland was fighting fiercely with Germans, helping our allies (f.ex. United Kingdom, France), defending our lands - After the war Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin agreed that Poland should be under the Russian influence - We were under Russia's occupation until 1989 - Russia was stealing our goods, blocked any development, did not accept any financial aid from USA nor Germany In that time people from the West were sending us parcels with food and clothes as stores were almost empty and you could only buy any products if you had "coupons" from the government (just like North Korea now). There was a huge drinking culture and mafias. - in the 90's we started slowly rebuilding the economy Now Polish economy is booming, with the second fastest growth in the world since 1990 (after Australia). The country's infrastructure is modern, no drinking culture, most young and middle age people are very well educated but until someone from the West comes and sees the changes themselves some of them still see us as some backwarded society
