The beach is almost empty, which means you have your own private beach. It's worth staying there! There are some restaurants next to the second beach. I like it there too. You guys are really enjoying your life! A 400-year-old winery is incredible. I wonder if there are any 400-year-old wine preserved in it? Tortola is another place that is like heaven on earth, and the chicken curry makes it even better, haha! Thank you very much for sharing such a delightful place! Happy New Year! 👍🥰🙌🎈🎉

Great video. I lived here over 30 years ago. Cane Garden Bay looks not great these days. It used to be pretty much undeveloped and absolutely stunning. Your pronunciation of Tortola made me smile. Safe travels

Wow, you guys are living the life in the British Virgin Island of Tortola. It is spectacular that is clean, quiet, pretty. Simply lunch at a wonderful place on the beach in December. Simply the best. Thanks for sharing guys.

The fuschia pink fruit is called Macopa or Marcopa in the Philippines, it is known as Java Apple in the VI. They also have Guanabana or Soursop fruit called guyabano in the Philippines. In the VI try the guanabancolada. It's delicious!

We love Tortola and watch a lot of KZfaq vids to share with friends that are interested in the BVI. You guys have done a really good job BY FAR. Nice cadence and camera control. Very easy to watch. Next week i will be in Mauritius in the indian ocean and i hope to find beaches as nice as these. So far in the caribbean i have only done Dominican Republic many times and Barbados and next time i go to the caribbean region i plan to visit st lucia.

Ooooh nice and different!! I ended up here last year via cruise ship 🚢 and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there……. leaving later at night was so cool passing by all the sailboats in the bay/harbour lit up & backed by the mountains….. ⛰️🛥️💯 Happy New Year & safe travels!!

Stayed at Cane Garden Bay many years ago when Rhymers was one of the only places there, and the distillery was in need of serious repair. Glad to see it back in business. Carol found a sweet place with a view for accommodations.

I see this a lot on travel videos where they say it’s quite expensive to stay it was $125 usd and all I can think is I spend $150 usd for a basic econosuite in Little Rock AR to stare at the highway.

Cane Garden Bay has built up since I was there in the early 1990's! There were literally 3 places to go on the beach - Quito Rymer's place to eat, and listen to his beautiful music, another place for lunch, and a place called The Wedding, where you can dine and listen to steel drums. Was very hot, and we stayed in a friend's home toward the top of one of the mountains, and they didn't have air conditioning, and you were joined by an army of ants when you took a shower! I would have preferred a hotel on the beach, like the big one featured here, but there were none back then! A culture shock for sure, but beautiful and peaceful nonetheless!

Just came from down there on a 7day cruise. Did jeep excursion in tortola, played golf in puerto plata and a island tour of st thomas overlooking megans bay. Stopped at the roosters bar and got a mahi sandwich. Fast forward when i got back to the states, i left my gopro in the airport restroom stall. Vacation footage gone bro…….

Love St. John, the best hikes thru the NTL parks. Teva sandal for land and water are the most beneficial for hiking thru water, rocks, and roots.

If you come to Trinidad let me know. I live there. You must see La Vigie in Paramin, Maracas Beach, Three Pools in Blanchisseuise. Come During Carnival which is the two days before Ash Wednesday. But you must book months in advance to get accommodations.

Happy New Years Chris & Carol! When I worked, I was fortunate enough to win a President's Club trip to Necker Island. That was amazing. We sailed on one of those pirate looking boats to Virgin Gorda for the day. Had lobster on the beach & did some shopping.Trip of a lifetime. I can't wait to see your video !

Yes we did. The company I worked for sent their top 10 sales people to his beautiful resort. This was back in 1998. The company had to stop going after 2 yrs because the sales group outgrew the number of bedrooms on the island. The staff was top notch & the resort was beautiful. I felt like royalty! @@sashachip
