At 7:19 "Eazy said beating up a bitch don't make you the shit" In real life Dr. Dre beat up a Hip Hop music journalist and former host T.V. show host Dee Barnes. Their have been allegations against Dr. Dre for assaults on Michelle' and female rapper Tairie B and his ex wife Nicole Young.

Dr. Dre was never in a gang. In the mid '80s he was a member of the World Class Wreckin' Cru, which was a clean-cut electro hip-hop group that did breakdancing and record-scratching and wore sparkly suits. They have a banging song called Surgery, containing the line "calling Dr. Dre to surgery". That's where those photos come from, that's how Dr. Dre used to perform before Eazy-E convinced him to adopt a gangsta image to be in NWA. NWA were going to do "hard rap" or "reality rap", which is today called "gangsta rap". Eazy-E was actually in a gang, he was selling dope with Kelly Park Compton Crips and already had about $250,000 in his 20s from drug-dealing. He wanted something legitimate to invest the money into, so he started Ruthless Records and released solo material as well as NWA's albums. Dr. Dre and Eazy-E were in NWA together (1987-1991). Then Dr. Dre left NWA complaining that Eazy-E was ripping them off financially, because he owned the label. This caused NWA to collapse. In 1992 Dr. Dre teamed up with a then-unknown new rapper called Snoop Dogg, and released his debut album The Chronic. On a track on that album, Dre Day, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg dissed Eazy-E for ripping Dre off, and calls him Sleazy-E. So in 1993 Eazy-E responded to Dre Day with "Real Muthaphuckkin Gs", where he criticises Dr. Dre for being a phony who only pretends to be a gangsta to sell music. He takes a shot at Snoop Dogg for being too skinny to pretend to be a tough guy, but he doesn't have much to say about Snoop because no one even knew Snoop then. The feud extended to gangs because Dr. Dre's new label, Death Row, was headed by Suge Knight. Suge Knight was a Mob Piru Blood. So the Compton Crip sets thought Dre was not just a phony but a gang enemy. In the video for Real Muthaphuckkin G's, we see South Side Compton Crips, Nutty Blocc Compton Crips, and Kelly Park Compton Crips. The other two rappers are BG Knoccout and Gangsta Dresta, they are both still alive and were involved in all sorts of gang violence, rap feuds and have both been in prison. They were Nutty Blocc Compton Crips and they knew that Dr. Dre was never part of the gang scene in Compton, hence "Dre, you ain't from Compton".

@Yvanehtnioj2000 They also say Eazy wasn't exactly a crip either, just an associate. Either way, they both were heavily surrounded by the respective gangs, thrived in those gangs respective territories and were affiliated heavily with those gang members. I think it's safe to say that whether they were officially initiated or not, they were legitimate members.

In the N.W.A days (Eazy E, Dr. Dre, MC Ren, DJ Yella, and Ice Cube)...Cube went solo after the "Straight Outta Compton" album, N.W.A dissed him comparing him to Benedict Arnold amongst other things in a track called "Real N***az", Cube then retorted w/ a track called "No Vaseline", and then Dre went solo for the Chronic album that had a track called "Dre Day" which dissed E as well as Luke Campbell from 2 Live Crew...then E reacted with this track before all the beefs were squashed. I would suggest you to listen to 1988s Straight Outta Compton album then dive into more Dre/E/and Cube.😁😃😺😸 I think I have that all right? You are the first person I’ve seen bring up the Peace Treaty bar. That’s cool Shout out to the legends Eazy E, Dresta and BG Knocc Out. Shout out to Dre and Snoop for that matter Also regarding Em, it’s not that he “fabricated” a lot of his stuff like the other people you mention. He did it as shock value, poetic prose, or just trying to be outlandish and get people’s attention. It’s like a novelty. I mean it’s obviously super exaggerated. A lot of it isn’t though and you can tell it apart. He wasn’t fronting that a lot of that crazy stuff actually happened. It seems those other are trying to pass it off as their actual past. Not what Em was doing Continue on the classics. Here for it 👍

I LOVE this reaction! I love how excited you were to hear more of Eazy-E (who is my favorite rapper btw) and I'll fill you in a bit more on what you may not know: So, Eazy E and Dr. Dre used to be in a group together (along with Ice Cube, MC Ren, and DJ Yella) called N.W.A. After the breakup (in which Dre felt he wasn't being paid right) Dre and Snoop dissed Eazy on a song (and video) called Dre Day. (That guy in the blue flannel was an Eazy E lookalike that originally appeared in Dre Day to mock Eazy E. So Eazy put the same character in his own video [this one] dissing Dre back.) As far as it making Eazy's payday, that's because Eazy got a portion of anything Dre produced or rapped on for the next 6 years due to the way he left Eazy's company. Unfortunately, Eazy died way before that in 1995. There's much more to it, but those are the cliff notes.

Hey Lilly. You should watch the movie straight outta Comptom. it tells the story of the group that both Dr. Dre and Eazy-E were part of along with Ice Cube and Yella. the film is very faithful to the events of the time, both police violence and other racial nonsense that occurred at the time, as well as the bullshit in the rap scene. Then I also recommend listening to the song "No Vaseline" by Ice Cube, which was a diss for both Eazy - And for the other members, if you see the film you will understand, I don't want to give too many spoilers. but it was the best diss of all time in my opinion! :) Congratulations on the channel, if there are writing errors, please ignore them. Grew up on this and forgot about how savage this beef was. Thanks for showing us how much they have grown and why I respect what it was to take your self out of the game you were put in without choice.

One of my all time favs! Used to bump this in my lowrider with 12 10"s in the back!!! Back in "Bass" days when everyone still went 'cruisin ' on Fri and Sat nights!

Snoop went to high school with Cameron Diaz and he was a good student, he didn’t get into problems until later when he started hanging with certain people to become a rapper

You did a great job figuring things out just by the words. Dre indeed payed Easy E royalties. You was spot on in everything.

It's interesting to see how time changes perceptions and how differently people finding these beefs later view them. It's a nice piece of hip-hop history. If you listen to Ether by NaS which by many is considered the best diss track of all time I think you'll be even more surprised than here. Cheers

Fun fact - the man in the beginning with the smoke comin out his mouth is Rhythm D, the producer of the track. He was at death row for a minute, then went to ruthless, so him being the first person u see in the the video was a subtle diss to death row as well.

The Dre disses started on Tairre B's Comptown Records release "The Power Of A Woman" (made in collaboration with Eazy-E, Schoolly D, QDIII, Bilal) track "Ruthless Bitch". Apparently, they got into a disagreement over Dre wanting to put his production label stamp on her album, even though he didn't actually produce any of the tracks. She wasn't having it and Eazy backed her decision. At some point Dre allegedly hit her. Unfased, she went back and added a verse on the last song on her album dissing him.
