Epik High. Tablo is such a master of melancholy. His command of language and emotion is phenomenal. He wrote a series of short stories that felt so real. I usually only listen to the hype tracks because Tablo is too good at tapping my reservoir of depression.

Zico was the rapper from BlockB another famous group from the third generations, their songs are really good too. Their most famous ones are prob "nilili mambo" "nalila" and "very good". And he alone has amazing songs and colabs too

CL (shortened from chaelin) is a queen. she has amazing songs, probably you have heard a part from her song "hello bitches". She has amazing songs, she raps and sings perfectly. Pls check her out some time. i love "lover like me" "tie a cherry" and "spicy"

CL is the girl. Zico was the one who was rapping with the dog and said open it and bite me and was messing with the dog bite collar. The guy with the beard is part of epik high. The first song born hater had a bunch of collars in it. Epik high is legit soooo good.

Such a good recommendation! Epic High are truly amazing, legends. I'm so glad you reacted to them and like the songs!! Mithra Jin was actually a poet before he became a rapper. Rosario is one of my all time favourite songs (not just because of CL and Zico I swear!) To give important background to some of the lyrics, Tablo has a hate group called TaJinYo (mentioned by name in the lyrics for Born Hater) who have plagued him for over a decade because they don't believe he graduated from Stanford. The hate group went from suspecting him of lying to sending death threats to him, his family, and his wife. It reached the point that he and his family were yelled at on the street and Tablo became a recluse. Tablo's father died in 2012 and although it was from cancer, the stress from the hate group was considered such a substantial part of his death that it was considered in the sentencing for the perpetrators that legal action was taken against. That was 11 years ago and to this day Epik High are some of the greatest and most respected musicians out there. Most k-pop rappers and artists nowadays will say that they look up to and were inspired by them. They are the ones who pave the way for everyone that is paving the way. Edit: Also, Born Hater is a vertical music video as well as Rosario, that's why it fits so well in the lyric video. (Also, you should absolutely look into BOBBY, the guy with the great voice in Born Hater, he's absolute fire).

Big shout out to Mickey. I had heard of them but never checked them out until a few days ago. Someone recommended the Tablo x Taeyang version of Eyes Nose Lips (Epik!!!) and down the rabbit hole I went. Got a playlist a mile long but about half of it is nonmusical like The Tablo Podcast, The Return of Superman featuring Tablo and his adorable daughter interacting with the YG fam, and interviews/games where they just trash each other. They're funny and smart and irresistible. I wish I could go see them! They're wrapping up this world tour with their second appearance at Coachella. BTS Suga produced a song with them a few years ago, Eternal Sunshine, and it's hard to find Korean artists who haven't worked with these guys. Jonny, they're going to be in Dallas, Houston and Austin.

Fun fact: It's iconic how Beenzino was saying "my vehicle is foreign and my btch is modelin" because right round that time is when he started dating his now wife Stefanie Michova, who is a german model, however when this song was released, they hadn't made any public statements about their relationship yet until the year after. He has since wrote several songs about her and continues to shout her out occasionally in songs that he features in (for example when he was featuring on DPR's song "Hula Hoops" and in his verse he said "Tiffany Ring for my Stefanie")

So actually my most favorite of epik high is lullaby for a cat. The music for it is really laid back and the lyrics are rapish and all in English. It's.... I'm having a hard time trying to explain it on how it feels. Quite kinda mellow but I think is dang good. I also like is don't hate me. That one kinda gives a vibe of like almost an alternative rock like weezer/blink 182/third eye blind kind thing. The contrast between the 2 songs is actually pretty awesome I think. Hope you give a listen to them at some point whether you do a reaction to them or not.
