How did James was the most wonderful singer that ever lived she never got the credit that Aretha Franklin got but I will tell you this and or James could sing rings around Aretha Franklin I hope you check out a lot of her songs this is a 1975 in Montrose Canada she also sugar on the floor as one of them out last Sunday kind of love I’ve got every record she ever played I’m 76 years old and believe me I know Etta James backwards and forwards I just wish people would giveAll my love Liz the queen

Her voice alone should put her on top, she had so much natural talent. She did more with songs and put more of herself in each one. You believed every word. And, unlike some artists, she sang to her audience and included them in the moment. She loved bringing them in. She belonged to them.❤ Miss Etta James was one of a kind, nobody could do a song better than her.❤👍👍👏👏👏👏

i really really enjoyed this reaction. I've been a huge Etta James fan since the early 90's when I took a Southern Soul Sister journey. I got to see her perform live and there is a visceral reaction throughout the audience. Another Old School Soul Sister that I got to see perform was Bettye Lavette . Her career is as big as ever.
