Some info for you, including Jon's involvement in the second film. It's interesting how he got involved. The first film, Young Guns, is from 1988. The cast is Emilio Estevez, Lou Diamond Phillips, Kiefer Sutherland, Charlie Sheen, Dermot Mulroney, Casey Siemaszko, Terrence Stamp, and Jack Palance, among others. It's the story of William H. Bonney a.k.a, Billy the Kid. The second film, Young Guns 2, is from 1990. Emilio Estevez reprises his role as Billy the Kid, and other cast members to return are Lou Diamond Phillips and Kiefer Sutherland. Joining the cast for Young Guns 2, are Christian Slater, Alan Ruck, and William Peterson who plays Pat Garrett. Some facts about Jon Bon Jovi's involvement in the second film. Jon publicly admired the first film, so when he got the chance to work on the second film, he jumped at it. Initially, they asked Jon if they could use his song, Wanted Dead or Alive for the film, but Jon told them that the lyrics wouldn't suit the film and offered to rather write a song for the film that they could use. They agreed and he wrote Blaze Of Glory. They loved the song so much they asked Jon if he would be willing to write an entire soundtrack for the film. He happily agreed, but wanted to know if he could be on set while writing the songs for some inspiration. So, while he was on set, watching them film and writing the soundtrack, they asked him if he wanted to be an extra on the film. He had no dialogue. When you watch the film, there is a scene where Lou Diamond Phillips and Kiefer Sutherland are in a pit in the ground, where they are being kept imprisoned with other people. As they make their escape, you see a very dirty man with long hair climbing out of the pit, as he starts to run toward the camera, he gets shot and dies...that's Jon Bon Jovi. 😂 The first film is a classic. You really must watch the first one before you watch the second one. The first one tells the story of how Billy the Kid came to be. ❤

Yes. there is a Young Guns, very good, and then Young Guns 2, is also very good, and Jon Bon Jovi really helped by putting a whole album out that had songs inspired by the movie. SOOOOO good when I was a teen! One of my fav albums, and I can almost sing along with every song. The movies are about Billy the Kid. Watch Young Guns first then 2, go in order, you won't be disappointed.

Young Guns 1 and 2 are the best western movies I have ever seen!! First one was released in 1988. Had Emilio Estevez, Lou Diamond Phillips, Charlie Sheen and Kiefer Sutherland as your top actors at that time. A western movie had not been done for years and every actor wanted a part in it. Tom Cruise, Randy Travis and Jon Bon Jovi were able to land very small parts as extras. They were all big stars but were happy to take the small parts just to be in it. It's about Billy The Kid and both movies are the BEST movies ever made! It is a MUST see!!!!❤

I was born in 74, and a teenager in the 80's. This song was badass, and the movies were a blast. Emilio Estevez, Charlie Sheen (his brother), Lou Diamond Philips, Kiefer Sutherland. If you haven't delved into the 80's movies...you're missing out on some things you haven't felt before.

You might have never heard of the movies, but I assure you you’ve heard “Regulators! Mount up!” From Regulate… it’s from Young Guns. Two of the best movies. About Billie The Kid (played my Emilio Esteves, yes coach from MD), but also has Kiefer Sutherland, The legend, Lou Diamond Phillips, Charlie Sheen, and so many others.

Emilio Estevez ask Jon could they use Wanted Dead or Alive for the movie. Instead Jon wrote this song. Bon Jovi is one of the greatest groups- LEGEND!!! GREAT REACTION

Entire album is awesome - not a bad track on it. Musicians include Elton John, Jeff Beck, Little Richard, Randy Jackson - still one of my favourite albums ever. You should listen to Jon's vocal performance on Santa Fe. It's fantastic. Yes there was an earlier movie Young Guns - also with Emilio Estevez. Both movies are excellent but I like the second one better. It also stars William Petersen as Pat Garrett (later, he was Grissom in C.S.I.).

He was also the movie The Outsiders. A movie I soooooo hope Hollywood leaves alone and does not remake. They will just screw it up.

I'm not a fan of Jon Bon Jovi, but when I watched MTV and this came on i was floored and then of course, earlier, I fell in love with YG1 so watching YG2 was a no brainer. This brings me back to the days of a great movie mixed with a great video mixed with great actors who were easy on the eyes. lol BTW JBJ had a part in the movie but unless you knew who he was playing, there was no way you would know who it was. One more thing, these two movies were the one and only flicks that I watched twice. Not really a fan of rewatching movies but yeah these were too good. Now I want to watch them again. ha
