I think he _was_ on a talent show, he lost weirdly to someone else but he won our hearts. Apparently, Marcelito is completely self-taught, he had a really rough life and sang to comfort himself. The ability to switch between registers and _impressions_ (this was a really good Celine Dion and a really good Andrea Boccelli, sorry if I butchered their names) on the fly like that is remarkable. Truly a talent of a generation.

There was already several italian reactors that listened to this that I've watched and they all are unanimous in saying that marcelito has got the italian enunciation spot on.

Almost. He has his "R" spot on, that make the sound almost perfect for a non native speaker. He need to work on his T and Z that gave him away as a foreigner speaker and the "gn" Italian sound. Only some observations. I love this performance.

Marcelito grew up on the streets because he was orphan. In 2011 he won Philipines' got talent and he finally reunited with his family.

My favorite part about this performance is not only is he doing a high/low duet with himself, but he's singing in 2 different languages! Neither of which are his native language! 😮 and all without formal training ❤

A great initial reaction. Thank you. Marcelito is a counter tenor which is a very rare voice type. You may have heard another who sings pop songs Mitch Grassi of Pentatonix. He won Filipinos Got Talent in 2011 and came in first of the singers on America's Got Talent Champions Edition just before covid quarantine started. For this duet he is doing The Prayer as sung by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli which is his signature song. The technique is called dual voice or doble kara and is well known in the Philippines. There is usually no autotune or pitch correction on any Filipino singer. The Wish Bus is a mobile radio station in the Philippines traveling around the many islands that make up the country. Marcelito will ordinarily sing a duet with an audience member at his concerts taking either the male or female part as needed which is quite fun to hear. He adapts very quickly to any new voice he is singing with. Try Marcelito and Morissette singing Secret Love Song at the 2nd Annual Wish Awards and you will hear a completely different voice from him and get introduced to another major artist from the Philippines. He competed in America's Got Talent and won 4th spot. It was not auto tune or pitch corrected, I have watched another reaction done by a sound tech and this particular video was analyzed, its legit live performance.

He was orphaned at age 7 and raised himself on the streets of a poverty ridden city in Phililpines. He started singing to ease his fear and loneliness. He cleaned chicken coops for coins and sang to the chickens. He is completely self taught and has had no musical training of any kind. He sings in 6 languages, male and female voices, and all genres of music. He has a charity that reaches the poor and in need people in The Phillipines where he actually works himself in building houses, etc. What is so remarkable is that in spite of everything he has been through, he remains kind, humble, and gentle. He is an amazing man. Btw, he was on AGT The Champions and did not win. There was a scandal about it that the results were actually decided before or early on in the show. This happened 2 months before Covid, so it was covered up. Marcelitos' reaction was to not pursue it. His only regret was losing the money for his charity.

Lovely reaction to Marcelito. Amazing isn't he? Marcelito sings in many different voices, languages and genre's. Each performance will astound you. His other iconic performance on the wishbus is "power of love ". Con te partiro, Beauty and the beast and we are the champiins on AGT. THE wishbus is an actual bus that features some of the best artists you will ever herel. Another great artists on the wishbus Is Morrisette amon, She is known as Asia's Phoenix and has a massive following. And is arguably on of the best female voices out there today Rise up, Akin Kana Lang, and Never enough are some of her best performances on the wishbus. Marcelito and Morrisette do a duet together called "secret love song "

I have seen a reaction, but don't remember who, where an Italian singer was with him to check how accurate his Italian portions were. His pronunciation was very good, but he evidently left out a syllable or two. I think that means he learned to sing it by listening only. Neither English nor Italian is his native language, of course, which makes it even more phenomenal. Great reaction!!!

CF, Great response to what you were seeing and hearing. Amazing isn't it? I have made this comment before but would like to share it with you. Two personalities, Celine & Andrea, Female and male sounds precisely executed, in two languages - neither one is his native language which is Tagalog. I have a theory: Marcelito, is, of course, gifted with an unbelievably beautiful voice, but it is his BRAIN that can MEMORIZE exactly what he HEARS and his marvelous voice allows him to recreate it PRECISELY, even female voices, minute inflections in other singer's voices, and in accurate pronunciation of foreign languages. That strange thing that he does with his mouth after the song is because the Sound Engineers were teasing him about having a 'female voice' so he was 'removing' it. Marcelito is humble with a great sense of humor and a charming stage presence. Well, enough - I thought you might enjoy some insight into this gifted singer. Cheers.

Can I recommend another amazing talent from The Philippines called 4th Impact . They are 4 sisters with amazing harmonies. Factoids: Self taught! Favorite singer Celine Dion. Native tongue is Tagalog. Won the second season Pilipinas Got Talent at 26 yo. Entered AGT Champion season 2 in 2019 at 35 yo (did not win). Has sung in Spanish, Mandarin, Italian and of course English.

and all of my years of listening to music going back to since I was a child in the 60s I’ve never heard a voice that could do this have a duet with himself and sounds so spectacular and the vocals in prince could reach high pitched notes but he could sound equally as low within the same song and beautiful This young man is so talented he would be a benefit and an artist to music there’s music and there’s artists in music he is the latter listen to the music from the 70s 80s and early 90s these are people from the baby boomer generation their originality and talent knows no other in any generation of music listen to Earth wind and fire and Philip Bailey‘s vocals they’re absolutely stunning Michael Jackson Prince Whitney Houston George Michael and the amazing Freddie Mercury I don’t think anybody could hit notes like he could the richness and power in his voice and the creativity he did in writing and singing music they are all artists in their own right I never thought I would hear another break that barrier after the 90s music just went terrible no originality nobody could play instrument and I don’t think many people after the 90”s write their own music Now it would be truly amazing if this young man could write as well as perform his own music Michael Jackson prince Freddie Mercury they all did that I’m not sure if Whitney Houston but she did have the most amazing vocals

Marcelito did not undergo singer or voice & technique lesson.,it 's self taught. not like the other singers who undergo vocal lesson, etc. indeed God's gifted talent.🙏👍
