Once you pop open the Frank Ocean box, the need don't stop. To me, he's so great, when years go by it's like going through withdrawals. It's never enough. Tyler is so great at it all: lyrically, production-wise, and with his videos, visually. His lyrics cut so deep, you'll be feeling the "wound" for days. I was daydreaming about his lyrics to that album for days, per song! :-P

Fun Fact: Tyler directs all of his music videos under the name "Wolf Haley"

Oh, wow! I absolutely did not expect this video to come out. I think this is Tyler's best album. It's just so good. You can tell that Tyler just didn't play around while making Flower Boy. I hope you enjoy this foray into hip hop.

Flower Boy is kinda like the perfect pick to start listening to some hip hop, it’s relatively easy listening, melodic, beautiful production, lyric focused, conceptual, it has almost all the things to like in hip hop.

I first heard this album on the plane to my first time to Puerto Rico. I loved it so much I listened to it the entire time I was there so it’s latched to some great memories as a solo traveler. He says he prefers the woods to the beach, but this is an amazing beach album.

Love this reaction! One little petty complaint-I recommend not substituting music videos in place of the actual tracks in future reactions. Music videos often alter and cut the song, and you don’t get the transition moments to the next track. (I’m sure you’ve realized by now you missed the end of See You Again and the beginning of Who Dat Boy, for example). Still I really love what you’re doing here! 🙂

YES!! please listen to Frank Ocean!! i would recommend “channel ORANGE” first if you want a more fun and upbeat listen/ experience. It has some really good tracks like Super Rich Kids, Pyramids, Etc. Now, if u wanna listen to ”Blond”, note it is completely different from channel orange. It has some upbeat songs for the first half. but for the most of it, You will not listen to the full album without crying. it is very emotional. I’m not gonna lie its a real tear jerker! The thing about blond tho is it is essentially two albums in one. First 30 minutes is upbeat (sort of) and chill songs. Track 9: “nights” is the middle of the album and it starts as a chill song and ends with a very melancholic feel. Nights splits the album into 2 equal 30 minutes! everything after nights quite literally controls your emotions. I remember the first time i listened to the album i lost complete control over my emotions and it was a roller coaster. needless to say Frank Ocean is a gift sent from heaven. Listen to him
