every member of wagakki band is the top of there instrument in japan, the singer is the best singer of her style, which is very hard to do, every single member worked hard to earn respect by themselves, and together they technically are bigger than babymetal in japan

Hi. :) I'm for the first time on your channel, but I see that no-one answer on your question about instruments, so I'll be first. ;) Wagakki Band is japanese band, word "wagakki" means traditional japanese instruments, they mix rock music and traditional japanese music. In this band are instruments typical for rock music like percussion, guitar and bass, but also are traditional japanese instruments like koto (string instrument, horizontal harph), shamisen (string instrument, something like guitar, with three strings), shakuhachi (japanese flute) and wadaiko or taiko (various japanese drums), female vocalist singing more like in traditional japanese style (shigin), sometimes she also playing on piano, back vocals are by gitarist. In this band are eight members.

This is another one of those 'down the rabbit hole' bands. They are indeed a mixture of modern & traditional Japan, the artists on the traditional instruments (including the lead singer) are 'championship' level, and the other instrumentalists are all well know stars in their own right in Japan before joining together (it's said that Beni, the shamisen player) was the last one to join and when she heard about the band was being formed, she just arrived at one of their practices and simply told them she was going to be a member ... they didn't argue ... not sure of the truth of this but it's certainly not far fetched.) Now, to that rabbit hole ... Wagakki Band started with one of their main 'themes' being a 'Vocaloid cover band'! Vocaloids are computer-generated characters with voices made from samples of the voices of (usually) famous Anime actors. This started in the mid to late 90's in Japan and grew quite big (to the point now that there are literally whole live concerts of 3D hologram Vocaloid characters playing with a live band (mixing band members and holograms) and singing songs in 'Vocaloid' voices, ranges, and styles that are in many cases supposed to be impossible for humans to sing .... so Wagakki Band decided they'd give it a try ... and IMO very much succeeded. (If I understand correctly, Waggaki Band had some significant performance role in the upcoming 2020 Olympics in Japan, until Covid hit.) So what you have here is a rabbit whole that can take you to through the illustrious careers of all the band members, to the world of Vocaloids, on to the world of Anime voice actors (many many famous Japanese singers & bands got their start in Anime,) and back to an uncountable number of very good Japanese vocal artists and bands. And then Vocalids started becoming popular in China a few years ago, and from what I've seen of that (China's Vocaloid concert scene and musical talent competition shows such as 'Singer') there might be another whole rabbit hole to fall into there as well!

As someone else said, the 'g' is a hard sound. Read on for way more detail than you asked for... For the most part, the pronunciation of vowels and consonants doesn't change in Japanese. So every time you see a 'g' it's going to be a hard sound. Ga (gah), Gi (gee), Gu (goo), Ge (geh), Go (goh), and so on. If you want to get /really/ technical, a double consonant indicates a little pause. So, wahgahk-kee, if that makes sense. Anyway, thank you for the video, it's always wonderful to see how people react to this masterful band.
