31,32,33 always seem to be pull tabs! I reject those in Park 1. Makes life easier! Congrats on the 900!

Interesting first hunt with a new detector. The Simplex is a great machine, but I considering getting the 900 to expand my tools. Is the depth and discriminations noticeably better or similar?

First, thanks for watching. The big difference between the two, is sensitivity to small gold (earrings/necklaces), a bit more stable VDIs, and depth (esp at the beach). The Equinox is better at all of them, but the price reflects that. If you like to water/beach hunt, I'd get some type of Nox 600-900, all are good.

I need some help guys.. just got my 900 last night and tested it out this morning.. I used a bounty hunter quick silver for 20 years! Still use it . My brand new 900 just doesnt seem to do much. It is because I've. cleaned the yard ao good? LOL

it could be. BTW, I started with a BH quick Draw. Have you done air testing on coins to make sure its OK, If theres no chatter, I put the sens at 21-22. Have you tried a totlot or park yet?. My BH was pretty good, only limited by depth.

@@panthercityoutdoors oh yes.. air tested all the coins.. silver dime.. wifes wedding set and my band.. got all the signals. Haven't tested it out no where else yet.. I did find a stainless steel spoon about 10 inches down I missed before with the BH quick silver

The mulch is just wet underneath. As soon as it dries out you want be able to tell anything.

How do you get away with digging big, flipping holes everywhere in these public areas? In Australia, people report you to the rangers and you can end up with a fine!

well, I suppose that "we get away with it" because its legal here to do so and the park dept doesnt care as long as you fill your holes. They know the holes help with watershed and runoff and that the grass and weeds will quickly fill it in. Also, these areas arent pristine royal botanical gardens victoria, like parks with manicured greens; just weeds, caliche, clay, rocks and millions of beer caps and pulltabs.
