Make sure you cap your frame rate to 60fps. Older Bethesda games were designed with lower framerates in mind and the game speed is tied to fps as well. You're moving super fast, physics are wonky, and facial expressions are a little cursed. Capping it will fix this!

Heyyy, I live in Las Vegas too! When I was a kid, I remember playing this game and going to my house IRL. The only thing there was two men sleeping by a barrel fire lol. Love prevails 🥰🥰 You're not missing much by not having been to the Hoover Dam, though I recommend going to the Grand Canyon someday! I hope you enjoy the TV show! I loved it

I really wish I could go back and play fallout for the first time again, tbf every time I play fallout I usually try go a completely different route, and it feels like a new game every time, this world is honestly so well written.

Just a hint, try to pay attention to the notifications that come up in the top left corner during play, the game was trying to prompt you to open VATS for about 25 minutes from when you first encountered the geckos, until you were in the graveyard with the bloat flies. It also is where the game informs you about your status, like thirst, crippled limbs, and how to do things, like turn your pip boy light on, etc, which could be helpful for you to keep track of as your are playing with hardcore mode on.

Girl, you've just made my day. Now, some explainer - I'm a huge fallout fan to the root of my heart. Even tho FO2 is amazing I still consider NV to be the peak of post nuclear rpg. I've played this game so many times that I know every texture of every corner in all mojave. And seeing you, experienced it for the first time, now know a thing, learning by mistakes, trying, exploring... it somehow sent me back years to the day I've tried it, experienced it for the first time. You gave me this incredible feeling of nostalgia, of somewhat childish happiness of experience something new. I see that you've played more of this so I'll be watching all upcoming videos. Thank you very much for bringing me this joy of unknown, even if I only observe how you experienced it.

I first played fallout 3 on the PS3. I got bored of it real quick when I kept on dying but a month later I gave it another chance and now I’m addicted to it when New Vegas came out I was all over that.😅

The Pioneer Saloon, Prospect Saloon in game, is a real place in Goodsprings, Nevada about 30mins outside the city. I think they have a small Fallout display inside still. Easy Pete is also a real person in Goodsprings. The Vicky and Vance car is also in Primm Whisky Pete's Casino plus much much more around the area. I hope you enjoyed the game and go on a easter egg hunt IRL for all the locations. The show is good too.

If you are already in vegas, the prospector saloon is a real location in Goodsprings, close to you, like an hour drive or something. They have a F3 display there plus it is an historical place.

FYI Doc Mitchell is voiced by a Canadian. Whom also voiced General Tullius in Skyrim, Commander Baily in Mass Effect, and starred in Battlestar Galactica, along with a few other shows.

The map of New Vegas was made directly from a real heightmap of the area, just scaled a bit.

I gotta say that the Fallout Show is based more on Fallout 4 aesthetically and the vibe of the show is also more like F4

New Vegas was my favorite game for many years, then I worked at Nellis AFB for a while. Going back to the location in game is a surreal experience. It's very different, obviously, but its an approximation.

Its a cool series of our world still in the 50s culture, and retro-futuristic tech, funnily more advanced than ours, in some senses😅 but of course, NUKED the hell out of. But you will see real world locations! And this game specifically is well versed in writing and speech. The checkered suit guy, benny is voiced by Matthew Perry, from friends, if not known yet! He also is a fan! Also most fallout games, the intro cutscene is voiced by Ron Pearlman!

Fallout 3 would be a better start if you've never played a fallout game before. But New Vegas is my favorite one. Just a more complete world with better quests plus Vegas! Have fun!

this is awesome. seeing new people experiencing these games for the first time. enjoy, deeply. get lost in the lore. I used to think it was Skyrim with guns....it's so much different and imo more.

The best atributes in fallout new vegas are . Intelligence 8 points because it gives you more attribute points when you level up . Endurance due to the implants that you can place in the future. 7 points is good idea. And in my case I like to increase luck to 8 points because it benefits all branches, it increases criticals, it also affects enemies, you find more objects in the wasteland and because you make gold in the casinos. With luck at ten you always win. The rest distributed according to the build you do. If you want to be a sniper you will need points in perception, if you want to go melee then strength, if you want to do VATS then agility. I normally only give 1 point to charisma. I prefer to leave the dialogue aside. But if you like that role, you know where to go. In skills it is important to increase lockpicking , science, conversation, repair.at least reach up to 90 points, with objects in your inventary you can reach 100. Then it is advisable to choose a specialty in weapons, guns, energy weapons , melee or unarmed to 100.points. The rest of the remaining points are a good idea to put in medicine and if you play in survival mode it also works well in survival. That is my recommendation.

You may have just ruined the other Fallout games for yourself if playing this one first. MY friend tried for years to get me to play FO3.. I eventually played a few hours and kept getting bored.. a year or so later played this, not expecting to like it and FELL IN LOVE with it. I refuse now to even play 76 or FO4.. they are simply so inferior I dont see the point in wasting my money. This one is NOT Bethesda, I'm not one of those OG Fallout fans, but they are RIGHT when they say Bethesdas games are inferior, and sh*t on the lore. I ALSO love Skyrim and what got me into these kinds of games, but its NOT and RPG compared to this.. actually no Bethesda game is.. they are all duumbed down RPG.. Skyrim was a decent balance, but since then EVERYTHING Bethesda released has been pure crap. THIS GAME has many options, can play many times and take different paths each time.. Bethesda games seriously lack the options this game has and every playthrough will be basically same choices.

New to the channel 👋 I live in Vegas too and I've been playing this and the DLCs since 2010! This and both Red Dead Redemption games are my favorites. IRL Goodsprings has a Fallout get together every November because this game helped them stay on the map. I even after all this time I'll still occasionally find something I haven't seen in this game

Ive stayed in prim at that rollercoaster one. the other side has like a western themed hotel/casino. it's like your last stop before Baker. And it's on the CA border, so there is a store that JUST sells lotto tickets and scratchers lol (well, and some sodas and chips), since Lotto isn't legal in NV.

New Vegas was only published by Bethesda and was made by a team consisting of some of the franchises original creators. It very much follows what the isometric games set up and is basicly the last hurrah for that part of the series as Bethesda contributions have taken the setting in a very ass backwards direction to say the least and its very much reflected in the show.

This is more of an Obsidian game rather than a bethesda game

I watched the show Fallout 3 is more closer to the show everything was based on it. From the underground vaults to the Mega town yet New Vegas is a good storyline avoid mods. The mods are great after you beat the game enjoy it as it is first then decide to do them .

This game won't insult your intelligence the way Skyrim and Fallout 3 and 4 do.
