To begin with, anyone who could begin singing adult songs by the age of 1-1/2 , has to be operating on a genius level. Her grandmother was reciting her own poetry on a program called 'Radio Iran' when she was 4 and has always loved jazz singing as she was raised in Iran. Knowing from personal knowledge that specially gifted kids, like she herself was, are able to absorb and actually perform lyrical enunciation (as in poetry or singing) very early in life. It was she who came to quickly realize that her baby granddaughter could compartmentalize various lyrics and tunes with an ability to bring them out vocally. When you add to the fact that Angelina is also a 'vocal chameleon', able to emulate the exact vocals of numerous A-List singers, which she first displayed to the public at 7 when she performed Billie Holiday's 'Gloomy Sunday' in the Norway's Got Talent Competition. Young Angelina was especially tuning in to Billie Holiday's form of singing jazz and that is where she learned the 'breathy', 'whisper-like' inflections Billie made famous in jazz singing. She is also able to emulate the 'slurring' of words and mid-sentence 'key' changes that Amy Winehouse used. Billie and Amy are the two most unique jazz singers of all time and when you add Angelina's personal ability and sounds to the songs she does, it's as if your hearing a myriad of other artists integrated into her songs. Adele in not a jazz singer, nor is Whitney, but Angelina can emulate them as well. Have never heard another singer who could present such an intricate, complex combination of vocals in a single song. She is the most versatile singer of different genre singing that this planet has ever produced.

You should be aware, though, that her voice is very, very addictive, and before you know it will be impossible for you to go a day without you watching and listening at least once a day. O.K. She changed the key to this song, but does it really matter as long as she has the ability to give each word, or phrase, meaning like no one else in this universe can. How can she evoke such emotion in each and every performance? Why do I get chills, or cry tears, or lose my breath when Angelina sing a song that I have experienced many times in the past without this happening? If this feeling only happened to me that would be ok, but it happens to billions of people. We play these videos of AJ over, and over again to get our high. I was a Whitney fan from the beginning of her career to her tragic end. Whitney was great, but Angelina at 16 is far better than Whitney ever was at making you feel each word, and phrase. AJ changes every cover to make it hers and far, far better than the original. AJ is the greatest STORYTELLING ARTEST I have ever experienced in my 75 years. SuperHero

As a fan of Angelina l say bravo to you. Angels (Angelina's fans) really recognize someone who gets her. You have quickly and intuitively seen many of her remarkable attributes. This song is particularly meaningful to Angelina. There is a shocking little video snippet of Angelina in her crib at one and a half (yes, that's right) with a little microphone singing a line from this very song. We say that Angelina does not cover songs. She uncovers them, digging deep and presenting the emotional core by emphasizing lyrical meaning. When you hear her reasons for picking songs, you will quickly see she connects with music at a visceral and elemental level. She is simply astonishing.

At her last concert on July 10th 2022 in Norway, when Angelina told why she sings this song and dedicated it to her grandmother Mery Zamani (her grandma was sick and couldn't accompany Angelina on the trip to Norway and both were very sad), I understand this song completely differently whenever I hear the line "Don't you dare walk away from me". 👣💯 *AJ* 💯 👣

Angelina loved Whitney. Her first video of her singing is a few lines of "I Will Always Love You" when she was 18 months old. She also sang it when she was 11 years old, and to me, it felt like a blending of Dolly's and Whitney's versions.

Angelina’s voice and her total being is like an ocean wave or soft summer breeze that takes you in and rushes you to places you have rarely experienced. Your heart rate increases, you find it difficult to catch your breath, chills and shells engulf you. Fabulous reaction as always to our barefoot princess ! Angelina has sung this cover of Whitney's sing many times ! Her live version just last year from Norway was fantastic ! She sounded even better than the studio version because she is a natural stage performer and can deliver so effortlessly and passionately on stage ! She has been singing live for ten years now and she is a seasoned veteran who sounds like a 30 year old not 17 ! I would strongly suggest and think it would be fun to see her perform at her first studio recording when she was just 6 years old ! This is even more mind blowing than "I Put a Spell in You " ! She did a cover of "I Who Have Nothing " an original song by Ben E. King and later covered by Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones ! In this video you will see what a confident and comfortable child can do at this age , it's uncanny to watch ! Watch for the comments at the end because they are funny to hear ! Another fun reaction to watch. As you continue to listen to Angelina (please?!?) you'll discover that this young woman has the remarkable ability to not just sing the notes of a song, she sings the emotions of the song. Sooner or later, you're going to hear her sing and sit with tears running down your face as she reaches out and touches something deep inside you. This song is a good one to see exactly how she has matured. She recorded a version of this same song in her home studio when she was 12. It was good, but you can definitely see how a few years have allowed her voice to strengthen and mature. Oh, and the dress is blue. You should definitely look at her performance of this song in a summer concert back in Norway, in front of a live audience. Our little girl is all grown up!

Beautiful reaction, from the very first words, the warmth, tone, passion and sweetness that Angelina manages to instill in this mythical song are truly incredible, even more for a 16-year-old girl, she is absoluty worthy of Whitney. Recorded June~July 2022 age 16&1/2. Whitney was 29 in a studio and David Foster stated they have numerous takes to get it right. In live performances WH normally sang this in a lower key, but every time it was beautiful. Her passing was a huge loss to the music industry.

Angelina is one of the most addictive singers I have ever listened to, & one of the very few, that can pull you right into the song, making you feel, every word, every note, & every emotion. ❤💙 I always have this feeling that Angelina is not only channeling some of these late great singers, but that they also pass through her, when she is singing their song,& is why she can capture the true spirit of the original singer ❤💙 A rare beauty, in every sense of the word ❤💙 Loved your reaction!!!

Great reaction! In your spare time you should listen to the live version of this which she performed in Norway last summer. In that performance it was televised. There were technical issues with the first take so they asked her to perform it again, less then two minutes later. It was breathtaking! She wears the same dress as this video.

Such deep tributes she gives to her many mentors. Never afraid of tackling the most iconic songs. Yes, it was this past summer after she returned from her epic homeland concert in her Norway where she sang this live in her outdoor daylight concert that was unbelievable. It's her Norway because she was proclaimed to be Norway's National Treasure. You can't tell it in this black and white video but that dress is sky blue. I see you took my suggestion that I posted on your last AJ reaction and did her Whitney Tribute. YAY!!! 😁...Well at least you took one of your patrons suggestions, I just like to think I had a little something to do with it as well lol. If I can make another please, it would be her original release of (Million Miles) which will show you not only her voice but her song writing skills as well. That song was written by AJ in memory of her grandpa who had just passed. Love, love, love your reactions and insight and can't wait for more! Cheers Britt

One word keeps coming to mind: inexplicable. Definitely transcendent as you said! To experience Angelina Jordan sing is to come into alignment with something perfect in the universe here on earth. I truly feel I have a blessed life just to be here with her at the same time. We are all blessed by her expressions of the human soul with such compassionate reflection. She's a healing force, a superstar who has redefined that word to now only be associated with her and her abilities. Too far? Hehe, maybe, but these are the thoughts and feelings I still have after three years of wanting to hear her voice again and again, no matter the song or her age or how many times I've heard it. Every time is new again.

She is a great talent. I watch, so many people give their opinions on the talent of this young lady. It is just as fun to see the reaction of people hearing her for the first time, as it is to hear her sing. By the way, you as lovely as she sounds.

Angelina is famous for her massive head of hair, it has been wild like this since she was a toddler. I think that Angelina has given up with trying to tame it and just lets it be. Her voice continues to mature if that is possible. A.J. has been a fan of Whitney since she was very young and continues to admire her as she grows up. This is probably a contentious view, but I believe that Angelina will surpass Whitney as an artist because she writes her own lyrics and music, which Whitney never did. Just my own thoughts. Thx for your reaction to Angelina hope to see more in the future.

She dropped it right as she was going to Norway for the concerts .. so for us that couldn't go we had a delicious treat to enjoy! This song you're hearing here she dropped right after coming home from the concerts.

I went to two of her concerts in Norway in July. I got to spend a little time with Angelina and her mother (Sara) after both concerts. It was magical especially her singing "I Have Nothing"

You are so right. It is indeed a tribute and this is only a few months old. She has such respect for all the singers she does covers for .. and it is a stunning and elegant thing to see and do and, of course, hear. Please see her version of Elvis' Suspicious Minds, which she dropped a couple of months before this. Unbelievably brilliant. Her version of the song is beyond .. I want to see and hear your reaction. AND then i agree with the next comment re: My Funny Valentine. Those three current Angelina. She also, in the midst of all this, did three quite big concerts in Norway.
